BREAKING: Pope takes major step toward formal heresy

"I feel like saying something that may sound controversial or even heretical. But there is someone who knows that despite our differences we are one. It is he who is persecuting us. It is he that is persecuting Christians today; he who is anointing us with the blood of martyrdom, knows that Christians are disciples of Christ. That we are one, that we are brothers! He doesn't care if they are Evangelicals, Orthodox, Lutherans, Catholics or Apostolic. He doesn't care! They are Christians."

yes....prior to salvation in Christ we are enemies of God. After we are reconciled to Him we are no longer enemies.

The Pope needs to make a solemn definition of doctrine to be infallible.

Dontcha know?

It’s the fault of the person being catechized.

It’s NEVER the fault of the Church. They don’t ever do anything wrong, you know......

1 Cor 15:
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

Does that mean they can believe whatever they want to and can they actually read the Bible? Where and how do they get true Biblical beliefs or do they listen to imperfect men? I am curious since they do not seem to know very much about what the Bible says. Oh well. Guess I am going to have to close my door since we are having a thunderstorm. I love watchng it rain.

Are babies enemies of God?

Babies are born with a sin nature like anyone else so in accordance with Romans 5:10 yes they are.

However, there are a couple of verses in OT and NT that suggest there is an age of accountability after which we are held liable for our sins. Some have suggested this is around age 9-13 depending on the child and their maturity.

Everything I've ever read on this topic though cautions against getting to dogmatic on this issue.

Exactly how God handles babies and those who do not have the mental capacity to understand the Gospel is a question theologians have debated and will continue to debate.

I think if I lost a little one I would take the same comfort David did when he lost his little one in that he believed he would see his son again in the next life.

So, that begs the question, you must believe that there are babies that sent to hell, right?

I'll refer you back to my answer in my reply to you in post 290....which I guess you didn't read the first time.

Yes, heat the oil 7 times hotter. If they tried to stick Elsie in that hot furnace, maybe he could act like a good catholic and pray to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and they will deliver him from the heat. 🔥😂😎

>>I don’t see anything alarming or unusual about his statement.- Christians of all denominations are being persecuted, because they are Christians, regardless of their “brand” of Christianity,<<

I think what is disturbing is many catholics believe they are the only Christians. Unless you are a practicing catholic, you are not Christian. On the flip side, protestants that believe catholics are not Christians.

I consider myself a Christian celebrating our messiah as an Anglican. I’ve Never...never considered catholics as any thing other than Christian.

No...we look to Christ as our standard, not the catholic church.

Are babies enemies of God?

Yes.. we are all born as enemies of God..

Ps 51:5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

We are not sinners because we sin..we sin because resigners..

There is nothing in scripture regarding an age of accountability...

Scripture is silent on the eternal fate of infants or small children .. and so that is how we should stand as well... having faith that the judge of this world will do right (Gen18;25)

Catholics on the other hand, rarely will identify as Christian. They give the appearance of being beholden to a "church" more than Christ.

There is also the business of relying upon Mary for their salvation that calls their authenticity into question.
