Democrat Operatives, W.H. Overlords Contributing to Holy Climate Encyclical. What Must We Believe?

Why is the head of the U.S. Bishops meeting with the White House and the Director of the liberal Center for American Progress? What goals could they possibly share? Is there anything Catholic about that pro-gay, pro-death power group?

As the Obama administration tries to position itself as a world leader on climate change ahead of United Nations talks, it's engaging a powerful ally: the Catholic Church.

Pope Francis has been moving the Church into a more aggressive posture on climate change, citing the moral need to protect the planet and its citizens. With countries preparing their own climate plans ahead of international United Nations talks in Paris, the pope's engagement is expected to play a major role.

White House climate adviser John Podesta and Joseph Kurtz, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, have discussed climate change in a recent meeting. An administration official told National Journal that the "administration has consistently reached out to the faith community, including Roman Catholics, to advance our common goal of protecting our planet."

As part of a five-day swing through Europe, EPA administrator Gina McCarthy on Friday morning met with senior officials at the Vatican to discuss climate change, commending Francis' outreach on the issue and detailing the work EPA and other federal agencies have done to address the country's climate impact.

I suppose Catholics should look to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences for an honest, rigorous scientific method. After all it’s the Church, and faithful Catholics know that liberals are wrong to pit Faith against science, yes?

"Our academics supported the pope's initiative to influence next year's crucial decisions," said Bishop Marcelo Sorondo, chancellor of the Vatican's Pontifical Academy of Sciences, as reported by Reuters. "The idea is to convene a meeting with leaders of the main religions to make all people aware of the state of our climate and the tragedy of social exclusion."

Note to Vatican ‘scientists’: Climate change isn’t science and ‘social exclusion’ isn’t science or climate change.

Social exclusion is what you get when you ignore the true teachings of God, and then nobody wants to associate with you; or maybe they’re talking about giving power to enemies of the social order so as to destroy it. That doesn’t sound very Catholic at all.

"As one of the world's most respected and influential leaders, Pope Francis, and those who advise him, will play a crucial part in advancing climate change domestically and overseas," McCarthy said.

Podesta and Melissa Rogers, head of the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, met with religious environmental groups ahead of the release of the EPA's power-plant rule in the spring. And EPA has heard from the Conference of Catholic Bishops on a number of climate issues, including its public endorsement of the EPA's power-plant rules.

Is there any unjust regulatory burden that FrancisChurch would not co-opt as a tenet of the Faith? Do they really expect people to believe that Jesus and His Apostles were a bunch of elite scam artists like they are?

They are dousing the faith and alienating the true faithful.

Heads up, Catholics. "Climate Change" propaganda is NOT a Magisterial teaching. Feel free to press the ignore button.

Can a Pope be recalled or impeached?

No, “climate change” is not magisterial teaching, but Pope Foolish the First can sure cause a lot of problems by promoting it.

Please, Su Tanguidad, go back to Argentina and drink mate in some leftist retirement community - that has no connection to the outside world...

Well, don’t Catholics believe the Holy Spirit guides the choosing of the Pope?

Why would they provide a means to remove one if they think God selected him?

I don't believe so. I had thought there was a process by which the college of cardinals could convene to remove a pope who is a manifest heretic, but my limited research into the area seems to say otherwise quite unequivocally.

Even if there was, expecting the college of cardinals to remove Francis would be like expecting the congressional black caucus start an impeachment motion against Obama.

I didn’t think there would be a means of removing a Pope. Sort of wishful thinking from a non-Catholic. Francis is making more and more forays into what are really political matters. Of course, one can find Biblical verses to justify church invovlement in most anything. He definitely wants to issue guidelines for governments to follow in their policies concerning weath redistribution and enviromnental matters, real or conjured up.
