I know I’m guilty on the absolutely! LOL!
I agree, saying it is absolute does not mean that it is.
And the other thing I think about in regards to let your yes be yes and your no be no is that when some people get through getting it said you don`t know if they said yes or no.

Especially in memos.

How about...”Just sayin.” I hear it all the time and it drives me crazy!
Let’s also get rid of, “My bad.”

I instinctively give my finger to anyone who gets annoyed at a word, term, or idiom. It makes me want to find ways to say it. Who lets them decide what is ok to say? Go away.
Absolutely? Let’s talk about the ONLY adjective anyone knows anymore: amazing. I swear I counted 100 ‘amazings’ in one afternoon of tv viewing. EVERYTHING is ‘amazing’: food, clothes,weather,people, rocks, wind... I’m sorry, but I’m not that easily amazed-and I pity the morons who are amazed by a purse, or the way someone makes soup, or coffeepots. If I could, I strike everyone who says ‘amazing’ more than once dumb for at least 24 hrs.
