So who are the Ishmael people today?
I was under the perception that they were the Palestinians but now it seems like the Palestinians are mostly Arabs from Egypt and Saudi Arabia and Jordan so perhaps they were the Edomites and has been dispersed and blended into all the regions and lost, interesting stuff anyway
Most likely they were mostly wiped out by the many tribes that moved into the area like the Philistines who invaded the area just before the Israelites entered and the time of Judges came.
many were wiped out by the Israelites themselves while others ended up being wiped out by the Egyptians or even the Ninevites who battled with Egypt for supremacy of the area God gave Abraham days the Israelites were still captive in Egypt.
Heck maybe even as young prince of Egypt before he murdered the guard and fled Egypt, Moses went to war and killed many. After all the area we are talking about was the Sinai desert area where the 12 Ishmael Kings ruled. So there would have been man small wars they had as Egypt’s influence grew.
Remember, the whole of Canaan was battled for by many nations that came and went. My money is on the fact that the Kings were eventually defeated and the peoples were taken as slaves or melted into the nations of Moab, Edom, Philistines, etc, etc. All the nations that Israel would eventually defeat in the years of Judges leading up to Solomon’s reign.
So true. Talk about a stretch.
At least the Israelites could trace their heritage all the way back, those descended from Ishmael cannot, so it is a huge ridiculous stretch of the imagination to say Muhammad is an Ishmalite.
I have a cousin who did our family genealogy and she took so many liberties that she eventually had us connected with the Queen of England, well you automatically get 1000 of true family history.
All she proved was that if you truly want to be related to someone it’s real easy to jump a few generations or lines to get where your going without anyone asking questions as they haven’t for 1400 years on Muhammad’s lineage.
Only because anyone who had no heritage wanted one so they took Ishmael’s. So that made them feel as important as the Jews who had a lineage and history they could point to.
However even at that the followers of Muhammad eventually had to write a genealogy to prove he was a descendant of Ishmael, so they invented layers to get connected to a guy who’s descendants never got within 1000 miles of Mecca.
Once they connected themselves to Ishmael, they then can claim they are following the One true Gos, but they are not. They are following Muhammad’s god who is the moon god.
I can pick a plenty of phrases in the Scriptures that prophesies future events and people that describe my life or me, but it does not mean that a prophet was prophesying my life in Scriptures.
Similarities do not make fact.
Historical fact makes facts.
And Muhammad was not a descendant of Ishmael.
OK, but then what happened to all the other lines of humans who lived during Abraham’s life that were also having children who’s children helped populate the middles east.
After all, Abraham does have descendants that number like the sand, but that still does not link Muhammad to Abraham’s son Ishmael.
Yes the Koran is quite interesting, but so is the coloring book my granddaughter colors with crayons.
I guess either explanation is possible, I believed that the Arabs came from the union between Ishmael and his Egyptian wife.
And that Mohamed was just a leader who thought of himself as a servant of God and most or all of the Islam religion was based on him but actually made up between two or three hundred years after his death.
It is obvious that he did not get close to Mecca which was not even there until 4th century ad.
I meant to say Ishmael probably did not get close to Mecca.
So tell me, What happened to the other 1000 thousand or so humans alive in the Middle East Before Abraham even entered the promised lands?
Did they just die? Move? Vanish?
After all, all Middle easterners call themselves Arabs.
However there were thousands of towns and good sized cities before Abraham had Ishmael.
NO, the math does not add up. Sorry
Muhammad showed up after Mecca was there. he lived in the 600’s AD
By the time he died he conquered most of the Arabian Peninsula.
He was very successful.
I do agree that most of the Koran was completed by those who followed and attributed to him though.

I suppose. But Arab are genetically the most similar peoples to the Jewish people, regardless of where we are in the Diaspora. So they are certainly Semitic.
And there are also Y chromosome studies showing a common male founder.
That could be Shem, or it could be Abraham, or it could be any male.
But coupled with long-standing beliefs — and the fact the Arabs are “donkeys of men” “at war with their brother” (a paraphrase) as promised in Genesis, it’s a pretty safe bet that, yes, Arab, are the descendants of Ishmael.
I got you. Thanks for that clarification brother.
:)
I meant to ping my list for a heads up on this, but spaced it out.
I was in a debate with some Christians who were confused about the facts behind Muhammad’s lineage, and in the process ran across this article and facts. So I decided to share it on FR.
Interesting because of the subject and lies being spread.
I found the information that is very thorough in it’s investigation at the site,

On another note, If I fail to post an official Christmas wish, let me now pray the Lord blesses each and everyone of you this Christmas season, and throughout the New Year.
Thanks for the ping!
