Most likely they were mostly wiped out by the many tribes that moved into the area like the Philistines who invaded the area just before the Israelites entered and the time of Judges came.

many were wiped out by the Israelites themselves while others ended up being wiped out by the Egyptians or even the Ninevites who battled with Egypt for supremacy of the area God gave Abraham days the Israelites were still captive in Egypt.

Heck maybe even as young prince of Egypt before he murdered the guard and fled Egypt, Moses went to war and killed many. After all the area we are talking about was the Sinai desert area where the 12 Ishmael Kings ruled. So there would have been man small wars they had as Egypt’s influence grew.

Remember, the whole of Canaan was battled for by many nations that came and went. My money is on the fact that the Kings were eventually defeated and the peoples were taken as slaves or melted into the nations of Moab, Edom, Philistines, etc, etc. All the nations that Israel would eventually defeat in the years of Judges leading up to Solomon’s reign.

I guess either explanation is possible, I believed that the Arabs came from the union between Ishmael and his Egyptian wife.

And that Mohamed was just a leader who thought of himself as a servant of God and most or all of the Islam religion was based on him but actually made up between two or three hundred years after his death.

It is obvious that he did not get close to Mecca which was not even there until 4th century ad.
