The reason for this article is to determine if the worship/veneration given to Mary by the catholic church is justified from a Biblical perspective. This will be evaluated using the Biblical standard and not mans standard.

all who follow Christ are Christians and Catholics are not a cult. all who follow Christ are Christians and MormonISM is the ONLY true religion.

While we are waiting to start; enjoy the artwork on our walls.
If some of it seems shifty to you, just look at it real closely
and it will stop moving, but another location will then start to crawl on you.
Do NOT think the way we PRACTICE our religion is this way!

There is not one sentence in scripture that makes the Holy Spirit’s call “irresistible,” and chapter upon chapter that say the contrary.
We are creatures of will, not automatons.
Being a part of the Bride of Yeshua is the sole great prize of human existence, and will be forced upon no one.

We might get there...We can post the few verses that deal with it and then get THOUSANDS of words of OPINION defending or rejecting each others ideas about it.

Stating that a poster will become a part of a particular belief system is mindreading, which is making it personal. I found it to be wishful thinking on their part about the future; not mind-reading.

What in the world caused that outburst? Not in any way did that post indicate "irresistible". Take that burr out from under the saddle son.

The mother of Yeshua’s earthly, fleshly body.
His spirit is eternal, and in no way derived from any facet of Mary.
His present body was not of mortal birth, he is the First born “Son of God,” not the son of Mary.

It is a gross error of the Protestant to treat the Scripture as a complete rule of faith, the role that Christ intended for the Catholic Church:I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to [Peter] the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. (Matthew 16:18-19)
Well, as you can see from many, though not all, of the dissenting posts on this thread, this verse becomes cast aside, as it would acknowledge the Primacy of Peter and his successors, the next 15 of which were martyred for their Faith.
Read the thread and you can see. It's easier for some dissenters to make fun like spoiled children, criticize like bullies on the school playground, and to interpret the Bible as they themselves see fit.
Note also how very few have ventured to declare a denomination, a spiritual director, a mentor they can trace farther back than his/her (the mentor's) own dissention; nor do they say how they found their own beliefs, what it was that brought them to where they are now.
See how few dissenting posts there are which proclaim the writer's faith; rather the "contributor" finds it necessary to bash Catholicism in order to justify their own erroneous beliefs.
We must love ALL our brothers and sisters in humanity; we must continue to pray for them all, whether they are genuinely concerned with our spiritual welfare (as I sincerely believe some truly are), or not.
There are always those who are willing to have a mature, adult discussion; yet there are those who are not capable of doing so, and use childish tactics unworthy of a Follower of Christ. By their fruits you shall know them.
There does come a time when we must walk away, on the strength of our own beliefs, shaking the dust from our feet, in a wise, yet gentle manner. I've personally heard it all before, and it has not shaken my Catholic Faith. I chose It and I believe It with all my heart!
God bless you!

It is neither an outburst, nor an accusation toward you.
It is just a statement of the facts presented in the word of God.

you need the Catholic church to even have the bible and in reality, she is the only true source of interpretation of that Bible....no one else can do it CORRECTLY. Arrogant smugness is SO unbecoming...

Since the Church in Acts 15 is the same Church offering the Eucharist, clearly, the prohibition on eating blood was understood to refer to things other that the Eucharist. Ha ha!
The 'Eucharist' isn't even MENTIONED in the LETTER!
