They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses. He made the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof were still. Then were they glad because they were quiet, and He led them unto their desired haven. Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:28-31
TOPICS: Prayer
KEYWORDS: military
PRECIOUS SAVIOR, ETERNAL GOD, SOVEREIGN OF THE FATHER
OUR PRINCE OF PEACE. We give thanks to YOU, OH GOD, for YOUR MERCY stands in all our distresses, in all our cares, in all our wanderings, in all our failings. OH GOD, when we come to you either in distress or in contrition, YOU SPEAK BUT THE WORD, and our souls are healed. You quiet us with YOUR GRACE and LOVE, and in return, because we are YOUR CHILDREN, we give THANKS, and we EXCLAIM THY WONDERFUL WORKS. Amen. Thank you LORD JESUS, that at THY COMMAND
all and every tumult will lay still at THY FEET. LORD, we come in prayer today for the tumultuous situations that are at hand this very day. The rise of evil, the threat of wickedness, the instability of our nations, the compromises within our congregations, the voices of the rebellious in the streets of the world
OH LORD. Amidst all this, we can be glad, for YOUR SALVATION will bring us to our desired haven
ETERNAL LIFE, ETERNAL GLORY, ETERNAL PRAISE AND WORSHIP, ETERNAL FELLOWSHIP WITH THE SAINTS
AMEN.
Dear LORD, we pray for each and every one of our own beloved sons and daughters, husbands and wives, cherished friends. Speak Peace to them, that they may find rest for their souls. May they find quiet confidence surrounded by the joy of Salvation to bring them strength in time of need. And LORD, at the end of each day, may they remember to give THEE thanks, for the GLORY of thy Great Name, and the good of their souls. We ask these things, in JESUS NAME
Amen.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE
"Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
