TOPICS: Prayer
KEYWORDS: military; pray; prayer
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Oh, most glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christthe One For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, we are SO grateful to be called by You. It is by Your marvelous grace that we are saved. Many times in Your Word You have told us about the fruitfulness of prayer because of our right standing with You. It is encouragement for us to continually come to You and depend on You. So, here we are in agreement today, knowing Your love and care for us.
We purpose to not fret or have anxiety about anything. With our prayers today we leave in Your loving care the protection of our military men and women. Give Your angels charge concerning them, and open their eyes to see Your divine protection. Reveal to them the breadth, length, height and depth of Your remarkable love and care for them. Show them favor with those in authority so that they lack no spiritual or physical thing that is needed for victory.
We ask You for wisdom for our leaders. Help them to discern good from evil and to judge rightly. We curse a haughty spirit from our leaders in the name of Jesus. As it is brought down, we know that You will honor humility with Your favor.
Let the mighty wind of Your Spirit cleanse us as a people here in the United States where we believe in the confession that Your followers have made for the last two and a half centuries: In God we Trust. God Bless America.
Amen.

Amen, Hiskid. Today, as i was reading my devotion, I was struck by how many times God asks us to “REMEMBER” HIS BLESSINGS, HIS GOODNESS, HIS DELIVERENCES, HIS STRENGTH, HIS POWER, HIS PROMISES, HIS COVENANTS....THESE ARE OUR ASSURANCES and OUR HOPE. We remember CHRIST JESUS, YOUR LIFE, YOUR SACRIFICE, YOUR SUFFERING, YOUR RESURRECTION, YOUR POWER, YOUR GLORY, and we THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT for doing for us that which we cannot do for ourselves so many times....REMEMBER. TO the ONE GOD, FATHER SON AND SPIRIT, BE THE GLORY FOREVER and EVER, AMEN.

Excellent revelation, jeanbl. Amen to your prayer.
I think it is what we are to remember also when we take communion—not our failings, but what He did about them.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE
"Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
