Ping!
Very well stated. Why do we have to listen to lectures of what Christ would think, from people who wish that religion didn’t even exist in the first place????
Shut up and sing, reggie. Shut up and sing.

There is only one thing I would add to the letter.
From the letter:Lets start with this statement: ‘’If Jesus Christ was alive today’’.......Jesus IS alive, remember on the third day Jesus rose from the dead. He is alive and he sits at the right hand of God.
There’s been sort of a trend in recent years, by the political left, to redefine who Jesus was, and make all his followers out as though they’re not following the “real Jesus”. How do they come up with this new view of Jesus? By taking a few Biblical verses out of context and inventing the rest. How don’t know how many they’re actually fooling this way, but I’m guessing it’s mostly those who want to be fooled in the first place.
Elton, Jesus hates your sin, which happens by your own choice to be THE defining aspect of your life.
Neither England — nor the world — needs two queens. Let’s get rid of the one that plays the piano.
I wouldn’t get too worked up about what Elton John says. He’s all over the map on issues. At one point, he was against gay marriage and said the state should just provide for civil partnerships, now he’s all for it. At one point, he said Christianity is a hate filled religion. Then he said he loves Pope Francis and thinks Jesus would support gay marriage. At one point, he threw a tantrum because a waiter could not get the wind to stop blowing when he ate lunch outdoors. He’s a muddle-headed singer.
Good post!
Maybe he was talking about Levon’s son, Jesus?
I think it would be better for all concerned to just ignore this pervert. People like him enjoy nothing better than getting attention when they say such disgusting things.
I imagine when he first started showing musical talent his parents were delighted. “He might grow up to be another Liberace!”
Jesus would love the sinner, but the sin would get the person stoned to death.
They were not particularly “touchy feely” about this stuff back then.
BTTT!
The only exception I have to what this author said is his own contradiction on acclaiming the Old Testament's condemnation of homosexual acts but then substituting his personal beliefs about the death penalty when Almighty God in the Old Testament ALSO demands it from the get-go:
Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man. (Gen. 9:6)
I mean, including people who agree with him in a general way?
