Hobby Lobby Verdict a Victory For Ultra-Right Catholic Co-Conspirators With Chuck Colson’s Ghost
Patheos.com ^ | 7/1/14 | Frank Schaeffer

Posted on 07/01/2014 6:27:01 AM PDT by marshmallow

Pope Francis must have vomited when he heard the Hobby Lobby news. Nothing could undo the good he has recently done the Church’s image more than yet another case of anti-woman lashing out by a cabal or far right Roman Catholic activists– this time in the Supreme Court.

Alarmed by the Supreme Court pandering to the extreme religious right in the Hobby Lobby case, the new pope might ask “Who is responsible for this?” The answer is: Many people. However two people are the real instigators: the late evangelical far right activist, Charles Colson, and Roman Catholic far right ideologue and anti-gay activist, Princeton Professor Robert George. Their tool has been Justice Antonin Scalia the other Roman Catholic members of the Court.

George is a close friend and co-conspirator with fellow ultra-conservative far right Roman Catholic ideologues including with Scalia who became the ringleader of the GOP’s Court-driven Hobby Lobby lunge into theocratic politics. George is the de facto father of the twinned war against gays and war against women. Scalia is his follower and close friend. And George has the support of the U.S. Roman Catholic bishops, the Mormon leadership and the most conservative of the evangelical leaders. Charles Colson was George’s close confident. Together they hatched the plan that in the end (and after Colson died) became the Hobby Lobby case.

Way back when, the late Charles “Chuck” Colson teamed up with George of to launch the dirty tricks campaign to brand President Obama as “anti-religious.” They decided to use the issue of contraception as the hinge to turn people against him.

No, this is not humor and yes, I know this screed is deranged but it's good to be aware of the depth of anti-Christian hatred simmering in this country. Notice the absence of reasoned argument and the reliance on demonizing and name-calling. We're all evil conspirators.

The persecution is coming.

We're all evil conspirators.

First, I never received the memo. Second, do we get name tags or something? Last, will there be a picnic so that we may mingle and share strategies on conspiring to annoy Progressives?

The demons are screaming incessantly that they have had to take a step back from forcing God’s people to comply with Satan’s will.

People who say this wasn’t an important decision should look at the left’s reaction to it and re-think that.

This really enraged them that they can’t force everyone to participate in chemical baby murder.

I assert that this was one of the primary motivations of Obamacare. There was even a clause in it that required “$1 of every premium payment be allocated to abortion services”.

Why do you think that is? To make everyone participate against their will and against obedience to God.

This article reminds me of the possessed girl in “The Exorcist” when splashed with Holy Water.

From the article:
The far right ideologues who turned depriving women of contraceptives into a “religious liberty” issue were counting on trying to get their “case” before at least 4 Supreme Court Justices that have a right wing Catholic worldview –Roberts, Alito, Scalia and Thomas. And they just won.

A good Segway into the truth about Hobby Lobby. Although they offer other avenues of contraception to their employees, they would not support the mandated abortion and abortifacients (Morning after pill). It that simple because they are a closely held (family) business that believes and lives their religion in their business. They even play religious music in their stores. (And not just at Christmas!)

God bless them.

PS. This does not apply to corporations, etc. as the libs would have you believe.

I agree. Most of the Leftists that I know are absolutely apoplectic. Many of them are now screaming that this creates a “right wing Christian tyranny” or that somehow this decision will result in women dying in the streets by the thousands (”Women are now going to be denied health care!”).

What I see in this is fear that their own tactics are being used against them, and successfully.

It’s quite humorous.

Frank Schaffer is a member of the Hollyweird elite (writer and director) and is close to being a case study in parent-child reaction. As the son of Francis Schaeffer (30 January 1912 – 15 May 1984), an American Evangelical Christian theologian, philosopher, and Presbyterian pastor, this son is now a Greek Orthodox convert. In 2007, Frank Schaeffer published an autobiography, Crazy for God: How I Grew Up As One of the Elect, Helped Found the Religious Right and Lived to Take All (or Almost All) of It Back.

He starts with a reference to Pope and the movie The Excorist, then devolves into an abyss of irrationally. Perhaps lithium would help.

What I don’t get is that they think that “women” are so helpless that they can’t choose where they want to work.

“Who is responsible for this?”

Anti-Christian Barack Obama and excommunicated Catholic Kathleen Sibelius. Simple answer.
