Every time a world leader, be they Russian, American, English or now the Pope, “laughingly” reference “little green men” or aliens in this way, I am more and more sure that they know something that we don’t. Nothing else makes sense.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought in Roman Catholic theology, baptism took away Adam’s sin. A Martian would not be a descendant of Adam, so why baptize? “Verily Christ took not on him the nature of angels, but he took on him the seed of Abraham;” there is no salvation for fallen angels, but there is for the fallen sons of Adam.

This is an example of how ill prepared this Jesuit is for the Office of the Bishop of Rome. As someone else has already mentioned, salvation history is only for the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve.
His example reminds me a horrible hymn being sung in Catholic Churches now that includes the phrase, “O God beyond our galaxy”. The ignorance and lack of training in the Catholic Church today must be what was meant by Jesus’ prediction “will there be any Faith left”?
