Nearer my God, to thee. This is the thought that resonates often within me. People are yearning to be closer to God, to be able to speak to Him and receive that inner feeling that He is listening. I am so happy to hear that more people are coming home to the Lord. It’s a calling that is strong, that requires that you open your heart and your mind to allow the warmth of God’s presence to enter.

I was honored to Lector for the Easter Vigil Mass last night. Our parish is a small one in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. We welcomed 26 new brothers and sisters of all ages. That was two more than the group of 24 that I was a part of two years ago. Vivat Jesus!
