OREGON CITY, Ore. Students wearing anti-gay T-shirts to class disrupted Oregon City High School's celebration of unity Friday.
Friday was National Day of Silence. It's where students take some form of silence to call attention to the bullying of the LGBT community in schools.
Two students told KATU News that if the school is supporting Day of Silence, then they have the right to speak out against it.
They wore T-shirts to school that said, "Gay Is Not Ok" and "Gay Day Is Not OK," which is a reference to Day of Silence. They sought out a KATU reporter to be interviewed.
"I'm not comfortable with you guys making a whole day about what you believe," said Alex Borho, a senior. "So if you're going to make a whole day out of it and not talk and a have a 'moment of silence,' then I can wear my T-shirt."
They claim theyve received a lot of support from other students at Oregon City High, but most of the students KATU spoke to said it's the shirts that are "not okay."

People in OR won’t be pleased either; these pupils could be expelled with the enthusiastic support of liberal Oregonians.
These silly kids completely misunderstand. These protest days aren’t about bullying, or equality, or whatever they are sold as - they are about the left’s agenda.
I say more power to them. Celebrating anything for “gays”is unnecessary.
If you would like more information about Oregon, please FReepmail me. I lost my Oregon list when my computer crashed recently.
The kids reacted to something they didn’t want shoved down their throat. It’s about time.
They will soon be charged with a hate crime
This sounds like an article from “The Gay Blade”.
Those shirts are “not okay”. I read that in a whiny voice.
Thanks marshmallow.
I guess the celebration was premature, since there is not UNITY of thought, yet.
When you constantly push, eventually people will push back.
the “tolerance” of the Liberal mind is selective and it does not seek or respect “cultural diversity” but seeks a mono-culture and more particularly IT’s mono-culture
Sadly, they all just made themselves a ‘genesis file’.
I wish I were being flippant/sarcastic, but it’s probably true.
I’m reserving my other comments (self-censored), but don’t get me wrong: They weren’t wrong to do it.
So to speak.
At least the homosexual teachers will know who they shouldn’t hit on.
Yeah well, a lot that is wrong with our society (and imparting undue coolness on homos is no minor part of it) is because of what our yoot have been taught to think and how they have been taught to think (i.e. not for themselves).
Let us all chime in, faggotry is natural and wholesome, so sayeth our dear leaders and why would they lie to us, they care so much? I forget, who was it that said 50 or so years ago how they were going to do that to our kids? And now that the first of those raised in the Soviet run American schools resides in the White House, who didn't think they were going to double down?
It is intentional, the moral decay which has been brought upon America. But it is good that some still make it through with a working moral compass. I just hope there are enough.
The school made them turn the shirts inside out or remove them. The kids should sue—viewpoint discrimination.
