why don’t you ask the RM (or would that be you?)about when one person directly contradicts another and is PROVABLY WRONG.
She has called me a liar and I want an apology.
I was making a simple statement of fact and she told the forum I was in error.
No the fallen away Catholic is in error.
I just commented on RF policy. There is a difference between a party being mistaken and a liar. Not making a judgement on who is right and wrong.

Your flimsiest of flimsy excuses that you never went to confession face-to-face...therefore there is no such thing as face-to-face confession is outrageous.

Fortunately faithful Catholics know that they can have the option of going face-to-face, but how will the protestants know? by believing you when you called me a liar???

I suspect you know that, by convention, it is good form to ping the person you are speaking of.
But back to your concern, there is an abuse button that is available to lodge a formal complaint. HOWEVER as stated before on these pages, it is preferable to FReepmail the RM as that keeps those unfamiliar with the rules of the RF from being drug into the fray.

I would say that the osas 'doctrine' is two fold: both correct and incorrect.

Well, if you are NOT once saved, then it would behoove those who disagree to show some scripture (or even Catholic teaching) that a person can be saved TWICE.
Lacking that; I'll assume that that OSAS is correct.
Now for the unspoken part of OSAS...
There are those that claim one can NEVER lose their salvation after attaining it.
I am not one of those, for there is plenty of scripture to the fact that one CAN throw away their salvation - by a CONSCIOUS choice.
(Now is where the verse that NOTHING can take them from My hand comes to play.)
The OSAS 'purists' say to the matter of backsliding, "Well; they wasn't REALLY saved to begin with."
And that, to me, is a lame way to try to get around the fact that one CAN lose their salvation.
Having said all that; I am a "Saved by Grace" person.
But I am NOT a "Kept by works" person.
Satan will continue to convince me that Jesus cannot hold on to me, even in the times my faith grows weak.
Satan will try to convince me that I need to DO more to gain favor with GOD.
Satan will attempt to trick me into believing all kinds of strange things to try to derail my journey.
I have faith that the Conductor of the train has my ticket, and will be SURE to guide me 'til the end of the trip; assuring that I get off at the right Station.

Thank you you are correct and I did not include metmom in my post to you for which I apologize.
I thing I have noticed as much as we can and have disagreed I can think of only one or two incidences who someone has directly contradicted another poster and essentially called them a liar.
I have seen time after time of two idea diametrically opposed, but where each side posts his links and Scripture passages that are open to differing interpretations - but at the very least if someone calls someone else a cow they will include a humorous picture of ‘Elsie’ (the cow).
This is different - this is someone with imperfect or faulty knowledge calling someone else wrong. That is not the same as differing -even vehemently on interpretations of scripture or the Catholic church. As intense as things sometimes get - when folks retire they must surely thing over at least some of the discussions.
I can only speak for myself but it has strengthen my faith immeasurably and I would venture that is the case on either side of the debate. For this I am grateful.
But metmom still called me a liar and I am not.
Well Gamecock is not a referee in such matters.

I grew up with catholic children in the neighborhood and that's the way they described it to me. Guess that make me a liar, too :)
