My opinions are worthless.
I would say that the osas 'doctrine' is two fold: both correct and incorrect.

Well, if you are NOT once saved, then it would behoove those who disagree to show some scripture (or even Catholic teaching) that a person can be saved TWICE.
Lacking that; I'll assume that that OSAS is correct.
Now for the unspoken part of OSAS...
There are those that claim one can NEVER lose their salvation after attaining it.
I am not one of those, for there is plenty of scripture to the fact that one CAN throw away their salvation - by a CONSCIOUS choice.
(Now is where the verse that NOTHING can take them from My hand comes to play.)
The OSAS 'purists' say to the matter of backsliding, "Well; they wasn't REALLY saved to begin with."
And that, to me, is a lame way to try to get around the fact that one CAN lose their salvation.
Having said all that; I am a "Saved by Grace" person.
But I am NOT a "Kept by works" person.
Satan will continue to convince me that Jesus cannot hold on to me, even in the times my faith grows weak.
Satan will try to convince me that I need to DO more to gain favor with GOD.
Satan will attempt to trick me into believing all kinds of strange things to try to derail my journey.
I have faith that the Conductor of the train has my ticket, and will be SURE to guide me 'til the end of the trip; assuring that I get off at the right Station.
