Pray for our American Heroes and Nation

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. … But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him…These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them…the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Father God, we take up the faith of God You have given us and come boldly to Your throne. We are seeking Your Kingdom and Your righteousness.

We pray for our beloved military personnel. By faith, Your heroes of faith subdued kingdoms, escaped the edge of the sword and became valiant in battle, turning to flight the armies of the aliens. We battle for them in the spirit and expect that to translate to earthly victories. Out of our human weakness, with You we know that You will make them strong and victorious. Guide their every steps and return them safely to our grateful citizens.

Looking to You and Your Kingdom, we pray for the United States of America. We desire to see with our natural eyes the Country You established. With our faith, we turn to flight the alien armies that have been creeping in to kill and destroy what You gave us. We subdue those Kingdoms, stopping the mouths of the lions who would steal what You have provided for us. It is our goal to please You with our faith and see Your Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven.

Father God, we need and trust You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
