Matthew 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
Is Phil Robertson a Modern Day John the Baptist? Could he be a "voice of one crying in the wilderness", proclaiming "Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." (Mk 1:3)?
I do not know the exact role that God has called Brother Robertson too. All I know is that he is now preaching at the national level a message against sin and pointing the nation to Jesus.

If I were a carpenter, and you were a lady, would that make you St. Joan of Ark?
Enquiring minds want to know!
That one anagram I found is outright freaky: “Our Christ Beheld Torn Punk”... because ‘punk’ is homosexual slang for a receiver of anal sex.
I just found another freaky anagram: “Lo....Christ Rebuked Porn Hunt”
The Left paints this educated man as a hick, but in fact he is a very smart and savvy entrepreneur.
Duck Dynasty’: Phil Robertson has master’s degree

The slow talking happy, happy, happy redneck star of A&E’s Duck Dynasty has a master’s degree in education. According to a report on March 1 from The Hollywood Gossip, Phil Robertson attended Louisiana Tech where he also played football.
It is hard to imagine Phil Robertson with a master’s degree, Lisa Simmons, from Oklahoma City, said. If you can get past his beard and drawl and really listen to him, you can tell he is a very bright and intelligent man. Too many people judge a book by it’s cover. You can’t do that with Phil [Robertson].
While earning his degrees, Phil Robertson also played a little football. He was the starting quarterback. Phil Robertson could have easily played for the NFL, but gave up football for hunting and fishing. Curious as to how good he was? Terry Bradshaw, the NFL great, was the back-up quarterback for Phil Robertson.
Although it may appear the Phil Robertson doesn’t use his master’s degree in education, but that may not be entirely true. He must have used his education when creating Duck Commander into a million dollar empire.

Once they find out he has a master’s degree, they’ll turn on a dime and proclaim him a hypocrite and phony, who is conning the unwashed - us!
I never saw the show. I must catch it. For a year now, I’ve heard about it and actually thought it was a Christian cartoon like Davey and Goliath.
Jesus could return wearing cammo and would get the same treatment Robertson has.
Let’s hope he doesn’t suffer the exact same fate and lives to a ripe old age....
Agree - I'm fortunate to have a wife who ministered to me until I was saved (about 10 years ago) and believes the Biblical concept of the man having responsibility to be the spiritual leader. She insists that I assume/maintain that role and comport myself accordingly. Many believe that a wife's submission equates to slavery instead of the true team of husband/wife that God intended - we both have our roles and as long as I remain grounded, she willingly submits to my guidance. If I stray, she rightfully lets me know. They miss out on a lot.
Freaky. Curious, do you have an anagram app or just talent for it?
Well done, Jeff. Looking good as well!

I can't disagree with that.
I go to Internet Anagram Server....
It is entertaining, if a bit predictable and corny... Rednecks making fun of redneckery, somewhat in the flavor of 'Dukes of Hazzard' in that vein, sans live-action heroism... The primary Christian component is the 'moral of the story', delivered as the family gathers around the table for dinner, with the old man saying grace over the meal. While the show is decidedly family and Christian friendly, it is delivered nonchalantly, in an understated, matter-of-fact way, with the focus being upon the nature of life, and the antics of the various characters.
To understand the position of the family, you might be better served to listen to Phil Robertson on YouTube (where he is easy to find). The deep convictions toward American Patriotism and Christianity are readily made apparent, from a man who speaks simply, directly, and with an eloquent yet coarse colloquialism very fitting to a backwoods believer. Excellent.
I wouldn't be too sure about that.
LOL! Naughty
Yep, you got that right but the only reason Mr. Robertson is even mentioned is because of his notoriety, there are voices all over the world or at least here in the u.s who are saying the same.
But these voices that i refer to are ignored by both sides because they are not prestigious in the Church or in the news media.
So i can not see that this has anything to do with John the baptist any more than any one else saying the same thing except that Mr Robertson has a lot to lose.
How many would do the same thing with as much to lose?
A long beard does not a prophet make. I think were going a little overboard here.
