We should all be aware that there are many people who name the name of Jesus but are not helping homosexual born-again Christians become who Christ really wants them to be. I will not belabor this point, but I will call out these "wolves in sheep's clothing" for what they are, based on what they are doing, regardless of how well-intentioned they may be. Firstly, there are those who seem to have only condemnation, and no compassion, for those who have turned out to be homosexual. They are quick to point out the sinfulness of homosexual behavior, but seem to ignore the fact that God loves homosexual people and wants them to repent and receive the good news just as much as He wants the rest of us to do so. Secondly, there are the purveyors of "gay theology", who tell homosexual people that God approves of homosexual sex and that it is not necessary for them to repent in order to spend their eternity in heaven (3). And thirdly, there are those who teach the "gay gospel", saying that, although God considers homosexual sex to be sinful, he does not require repentance in this case because His grace somehow gives homosexual people a dispensation, or exemption, that will enable them to spend their eternity in heaven despite their sinful lifestyle (4). Many of the homosexual, born-again Christians have believed these heresies and will, therefore, have to reject them in order to repent and become the men and women that God intended them to be all along.

There are:
Alcoholic born again Christians
Adultery born again Christians
Thieves, murders and rapist who are born again Christians.
How do they differ from the majority of homosexual “Christians”. In a word - repentance. The changing of their thinking. They have called their former behavior sin and work to change their lives by not repeating that sin. The majority of homosexuals that I have met are UNREPENTANT. Further, they work to try and convince the rest of the world that they did not sin and thus suffer from the second sin of pride.

Homosexual is what a person DOES—not what a person IS. No one is born a pedophile. Are they? Neither is any one born homosexual.

God loves murderers as well, but His forgiveness is not license to continue their behavior either.

Hard to have a lot of compassion for those who not only do not repent of their sins but are “proud” of them.

First, nobody has been ‘born again’ yet but Yeshua himself. That will happen for those that ‘endure to the end’ when the last trump sounds.
Second, the Mikva (baptisms) that begins by the grace of Yehova involves confession, repentance, and walkout to righteousness in Yeshua. Anyone that is still a homosexual has not had that experience in their life.
You might want to ask that this thread be deleted.

I have more compassion for homosexuals than I do for the pro-abortion folks, just my two cents. Fortunately, God did not send me to Earth to judge others but to love them and help them to repent.

Mark 7:18-23
18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
I post this scripture with one express purpose. Christ's primary purpose was not to change our outside actions, but to change our heart.
As this scripture points out, sin proceeds from the heart, so when you propose that someone who has homosexual desires is not sinning, you are not being scriptural. I'm sure your church has taught you that, but Christ has not.
II Cor. 5:17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
He came to give us power over our sin, and as Christ has shown, sin originates from the heart.
And as the Apostle Paul shows in Romans chapters 7 and 8, without Christ, we cannot help BUT sin(Chapter 7), but with Christ, after believing the Gospel and letting Christ forgive us and change us, there is no more condemnation for sin (because we are not sinning anymore)(Chapter 8)

They're perverts who MUST prey on "non homos" to propogate their numbers.
Russia got it right. We got it wrong.

This message is for everyone on the thread.
If a person is a homosexual, then turns to Christ but yet struggles with the sin, I got news for you they are indeed saved and they are going to heaven. When a person is truly saved their mind will change such that they do not accept their sins any longer (even though they might struggle with those sins even after believing).
The key is that the mind changes (metanoia in the Greek) the moment someone gets saved. God does not expect perfect obedience, if God did than there is no need of grace through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and we are all condemned, because we cannot meet the requirements of God's law on our own and by our own merit.
In other words the saved person will cry for mercy for their sins and not say the opposite which would be something along the lines of "God thinks my sins are OK".

born again and homosexual. repentance from sin. a new life in christ how can one be both. That is the problem with the church today the subjective before the objective. Christians cannot be homosexuals. In the whole of scripture God destroyed people whom committed this lifestyle. Sodom and Gomorrah - Notice Sodom the root of sinful relations with another person of the same sex.

Much confusion results from the fact that the word "homosexual" CAN BE and IS used to refer both to a pattern of
attraction (orientation) and a pattern of
behavior (man-with-man fornication, sodomy.)
A person who experiences same-sex attraction even without acting out on it, can be called "homosexual" because he or she suffers from a psychosexual disorder, homosexuality. This disorder may pave the way to certain serious sins of thought, word or deed (like lustful fantasies, porn and masturbation, fornication, prostitution, perverse "marriage," etc.) but the disorder in itself is not a sin. Rather it's an unwilled tendency, comparable with a person with a tendency to irascibility and aggressiveness, or depression and suicidal ideation.
I would say that in contrast to the word "homosexual," which has a kind of clinical or diagnostic connotation, the word "gay" more strongly suggests deliberate attachment to a sinful lifestyle. "Gay" pairs with "pride".
Does that clarify things somewhat?

I was prepared to rebut your article, however you mention that truly born again people (who were homosexuals or act like that) will eventually turn from their sins; this is correct.
It is the difference between those who have truly been born again (even though in their past they have been “homosexuals”) and those that claim to be Christians but live unrepentant homosexual lifestyles (these people cannot be saved-as we see their life, like it or not this is such a big part of a person’s life (their sexual nature) that we see their fruit is rotten (in the unrepentant/unsaved homosexual). Some people may pose as Christians, but they are truly not.
Some (Hopefully!) will get saved then the Holy Spirit will lead them out of this lifestyle and (God willing if it is His will) into a normal relationship with a person of the opposite sex!~
God Bless,
and Merry Christmas! I would refer back to Romans Chapter 1 as to the true cause of homosexuality (an idolatry of self, and more specially the sexual part of the self) that replaces God with a person’s self. Jesus of course restores a right relationship with a person and their sexual nature, which this “Rock” can then build healthy marriage and family relationships on!
“Such as were some of you” (1 Cor 6:11).
THANK GOD FOR HIS GRACE FOR THE HOMOSEXUAL SINNER (And the rest of us that sin in other ways and ALL deserve the 2nd Death)!

If a person is a homosexual, then turns to Christ but yet struggles with the sin, I got news for you they are indeed saved and they are going to heaven. When a person is truly saved their mind will change such that they do not accept their sins any longer (even though they might struggle with those sins even after believing).
The Gospel does not match your understanding of what it means to be "Born Again".
This "Gospel" that you have accepted as truth, does not bring Victory over sin, but accepts sin in the believer's life. God, and Christ are not accepting of sin in the believer's life and it was for this express purpose that Christ died on the cross, to give us power over the sin in our lives, not just in our minds, but in our hearts as well.
The Gospel you preach is a dead Gospel, it is not a rejuvenating Gospel, the Gospel that the Apostle Paul preached where in Chapter 8 of Romans he states unequivocally that there is now NO MORE condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus.
Condemnation, as Paul proves in Chapter 7 of Romans, comes from sin, if there is no more condemnation, then there is no more sin.
For further proof, read 1 John 2:1-10
1. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
When we sin, we are no longer in fellowship with God or Christ as the Apostle John points out.
If we sin, we have an advocate, because as the bible states, God is married to the backslider, but don't let yourself believe that if you are sinning, you are still saved, you are not.
