btw, I believe the Church’s position on this is that he is eligible based on the miracles he performed..not on the totality of his circumstances...

So in other words, if he performed 10 miracles but molested 100 children he would be eligible...NOT CLAIMING THAT HE WAS A MOLESTER..just explaining the thinking

God knew in advance and warned through his Prophet Jeremiah of the coming Slaughter of the Innocents, yet God did nothing to save the babies and infants.
Jesus knew and knows that bad things to good people. His teaching is that death, accident, calamity can come to us at anytime, and that we should not obsess with injustice at the expense of praying for our own souls:
Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? I do not believe for a moment that Pope John Paul II condoned the evil that was inside the Church. I believe Pope John Paul II was well aware of the evil that resides inside men, and that he chose to pray for their souls.
