Halla the puppy has crashed
A very touching and beautiful post, Glock.
Thank you so much.
I kept telling her that at the vet.
If she could only talk for a few minutes and tell me what hurts!
If God would let me have whatever the problem is, instead.
They’re the only children I could ever have so they’re more than pets, no matter how crazy that is.
Awwwww.
I got home tonight from all this in time for my mom to call and tell me a lady we’ve known for 40 years hanged herself in her basement last night.
I could’ve waited for tomorrow to hear that, really.
They x-rayed her spine but not head as she didn’t want to knock her out in her condition.
Everything looked fine and the vet was looking for signs of Wobbler’s but saw none.
I don’t know about her head.
We don’t have an MRI near here.
That’s why the neuro doc was suggested, possibly.
Prayers for everything else that is going on, as well.
Amen!
Your doing your best. Some things-all things are better left in Our Father’s hands and His will be done.We will pray for you and your husband and the Pup.((((Hugs))))Fatima
We will pray Salvation ((((Hugs)))Fatima
"But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter" (2 Samuel 12:3)
Yeah not every Vet has access to an MRI which makes things more difficult. I hope and pray that everything will turn out OK

Prayers for your puppy and for you, Salamander.
Prayers for you also Sal. Empathy here as we lost one of our daughters on Sat.
OH< Nan, was it an accident? Prayers for the repose of her soul.
Sorry to hear the problems your puppy family member, Halla is having.
I understand dog troubles. Our Hershee is now 17 and 5 Months old. (Australian Shepherd/Rotwieller) She had a stroke 4 years ago and we were under the belief that she would not make it past the Summer that year. Well here we are over 4 years later and she is still with us, but she never completely healed.
Her new nickname is LuLu, because she seems totally clueless at times as to where she is and what her name is. We figure she now has doggie Alzheimers, and with her hip Dysplasia she has had since birth, her back legs will go completely numb at times. When she stands up I message her thighs to get blood to her feet, but she stumbles and falls a lot. Every time we think she is short for this world she makes it through another Summer, and then another Winter.
What you describe is similar to what happened to Hershee when she had the stroke. I thought she was poisoned, but we eventually learned that she had a stroke. Hershee would drool and her head would bob and weave as she stumbled around. Eventually she did get better, but not nearly as much as we had hoped.
Your dog is much younger then Hershee was when she had her troubles. You also mention she has eye troubles. Was she born with eyes problems, or was it something brought on by another accident?
Anyway, my prayers are with you and your littlest family member, Halla.

I am praying for baby girl Halla
Praying for you dear Salamander
I feel so badly for you. I know the heartbreak and worry that comes from seeing your canine babies being so ill, and I know of days so dark that you don’t think you can go on.
Please know you are well loved in FReeperdom, and that innumerable prayers and well-wishes are are being sent up for you and your puppy. You will get through these dark times; your strength will come from above. Stay strong, girl.
Congestive heart failure, Pneumonia, Kidney failure. All sudden and unexpected although she was a paraplegic from an auto accident 20 years ago.
