And let the selling of the conspiracy books begin!

If this new Pope name is “Peter the Roman” that might be interesting.

And for those well-versed in the language of brimstone and fire, the signs could not have been more transparent when just hours after Benedict announced he would abdicate, a bolt of lightning struck St. Peters Basilica, the very heart of ChristianityThe heart of Christianity is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and His blood and body sacrifice for our sins--not St.Peter's Basilica.

Yes, in The Holy Sacrifice of The Mass and in the divine instruction given to Peter, the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, his apostles and their successors to teach one faith, one truth, and as part of one church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

On examination, the supposed prophetic visions of St. Malachy are hard to credit. There is no contemporary account or evidence for them, and the only source is the claims of a commercial work published many years after the visions are said to have taken place. Moreover, at best only strained connections can be made between the visions and the Popes who came after the publication. In short, facts and reason fairly lead to the conclusion that the supposed visions were an invention designed to capitalize on the public’s often uncritical hunger for that sort of thing.

“According to an ancient prediction, this next pope will be the last.”
That’s what they said about the last Pope. But eventually they’ll get it right if they keep hedging their bets.

If Peter from Africa is elected I’m going to daily mass, to wait for my end times.

I think Peter the Roman simply is a pope that will be strong on doctrine.

The elected person always takes another name. He would not take the name Peter. BTW, I don’t believe he will be selected — too socialistic.

I do not believe so either that Cardinal Peter Turksman will be elected, not only because of what you had said, but also his name wast touted a lot by the news media over the last few weeks. That is not good.
My best guess is these 3 but again this is my best guess: Tagle, Rajaith, or Burke.
Overall let the Holy Spirit do HIS WORK.

I tend to agree with you.
As my priest has said quite a bit lately.
Those Cardinals who go into the conclave expecting to come out wearing the white robes, will come out as Cardinal.
Cardinal Turksman has been too outspoken on his desires to higher office.

St. Peter’s church is the “heart of Christianity” to over 1 billion folks, who all BELIEVE in Jesus. Is is built over the tomb of Jesus’ Apostle, Peter. Can you say that of any other church?
To: Steelfish
Nostradamus is a big question mark. He described himself as using a common method of divination, and was learned in the medical and occult traditions of the time. Yet he deliberately obscured his published predictions, which makes them hard to accept as genuinely prophetic even when they can be taken as having come true in some sense.
In general, I see the paranormal as real in many respects even though, to keep from being taken in by fraud and self deluded invention, I am deeply skeptical of specific claims.
