I tend to agree with you. It was not deep theology, It was a skimming of the OT. Some people might be spurred to do a real Bible study from elements of the film. I didn’t see any of the usual History Channel Heresy and blasphemy. It was a simple view of the old testament with a Willie Nelson look-a-like playing Moses.
exactly, it seems some complain there is nothing Christian on TV and when it does then the same people still complain.
it gave is the basics and enough for some people to become interested in the Bible and Christianity I think.
Like you said , if it draws just one more person into finding out more than so be it, good as for this family , well my wife and I watched it and will now let the kids watch it.
Like you said aslo, this was not Bible study , this was a program showing the basics and as for when did he have a Scottish accent or the angel was a Ninja, well that is so out of whack IMHO.
Lets just be grateful that there is a show like this on and stop complaining about accents or Ninja or fighting.
At least they presented the Creation as a work of God, and didn’t try to shoehorn in some way where they could make it seem like millions of years were compressed into six days.
Also, Moses made a very clear statement as he was looking back at Pharaoh at the Red Sea, when Moses said, “there is only one God, and he is here with us.”
