I received a letter from The Social Security administration; they had made some kind of mistake in calculating the benefits due to my daughter and I. They had corrected the mistake, and had deposited over $1,800 into my checking account.

What “illness(es)” do you and your daughter have that causes us working taxpayers to have our money confiscated from us so that you two can have free money handed to you every month? (Is that forever, by the way?) As a working taxpayer I’m entitled to know. Thanks.

I never claimed to be "the arbiter of who should receive Disability benefits", but since she posted her piece, I, as a taxpayer, would be interested to know if the "disabilities" I am funding are veteran/combat related, or alcoholic/junkie related, blindness related or "I, uh, twisted my back" related, etc.
You are obviously not aware of this, but a lot of people game the system. Can you believe it? In fact, last I read, "One in 19 Americans today get SSDI or SSI. That's one in 19 Americans (who) are disabled." Excuse me if I think that's a tad too many, and I guess that makes me "rude and boorish". But then, I'm also a working taxpayer. Okay with you, big mouth?

You are sadly mistaken - God will bless through any means He so chooses. He once spoke through a jack ass and I see He’s speaking through another one.(own it).
What a shame there are so many liberals in your family - on your wife’s side. Sounds like they are gaming the system, however, some do receive benefits if they have mental illness. Their records are confidential, so there may be issues you aren’t aware of - other than what you see and hear. Of course, some can probably fake it too - I’m not saying that isn’t a possibility - because it is.
Oh well, the system is broken - what do we do?
Yeah, I know there has been an increase in SSI, and SSD as well as food stamps. However, I know a few individuals who really need the benefits and keep getting turned down. I’m not against those who really and truly need them, but it makes me angry at those who receive them and shouldn’t, and those who should and can’t.

That happened to a fellow Airman in my unit. He was a single E-2 and was being paid more than the married E-3. We kept trying to get him to go to finance to fix it.
Finally, he got the Zero paycheck. Fortunately, I was tight with a young lady who worked there. She set it up so he paid it off over about two months.
God does not work through government programs - He does not need evil to do good.

If I recall correctly, one of the Kings of Persia gave Zerrubabal resources to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem.
God can do what ever He wants. That’s part of His job description.
If you would read her blog, you would find that the benefits she and her daughter are receiving are partially from her ex-husband’s death - the father of her child.
So, her ex paid into the system and you are being ,judgmental rude and playing God.
