Yeah, I know there has been an increase in SSI, and SSD as well as food stamps. However, I know a few individuals who really need the benefits and keep getting turned down. I’m not against those who really and truly need them, but it makes me angry at those who receive them and shouldn’t, and those who should and can’t.

I agree. Day 6 for the wife where getting out of bed is a chore just to hit the head and return to the bed..
Been getting denial letters for 2 years now. Soon, we’ll be out of chances to appeal.

Yes, from the anecdotal evidence I hear, it’s all about hiring the best lawyer, not about the actual merits of the disability. I hope your friends get the relief they need.
