There will likely be a multi-million dollar TV and radio campaign by the mormon church echoing her words, "our message that boldly proclaims a restoration of the original Christian Church that Jesus Christ organized when He was upon the earth".
Christians will remain unconvinced.
Though Romney failed utterly, but if God HADN’T been on Romney’s side he would have lost by much more. That is proof that God was on Romney’s side.
Thought the economy stinks, bu if Obama hadn’t spent $trillions on stimulus unemployment would be even higher. That proves the stimulous worked.
It’s all clear to me now.
A lot of Christian groups sold their soul for the election.
I grew to like Romney as a candidate...for President. I am no more open to Mormonism now, though, than before he lost.
Mormonism is not and never will be a mainstream Christian religion.
If Romney had not been a Mormon, he might have won.
One’s religion is not a deal breaker for me. Character and world-view are what matters to me.
Romney was thoroughly boring, without passion, too timid, and too liberal.
He was not my choice in the primaries, but I voted for him in the general.
THE CHRISTIAN GOD IS ONE GOD THREE PERSONS!!!!!!!!!!!
The mormon god is one god one person who has sons, satan and Jesus.
There is nothing Christian about Mormonism! There is nothing Godly about Mormonism.
Another religion founded by a pedophile polygamist, who got his Holy Book from Moroni,..sounds much like Islam. Yes, Mitt Romney being a Mormon hindered his chances for being President. He wasn’t ONE of us.
..probably the only good side to Romney having his head handed to him in the election was that any Mormon agenda attached to his presidency was dashed...
I think this is why Mormonism has never really taken hold in the South. It's more a religion for austere, bland people.
As an aside, the reason the South has the highest obesity rate is because there's so much good food down here, and life is lived to the fullest. Why eat tofu and seaweed and live to be 95, when you can have red beans and rice, pork ribs, catfish, gumbo, biscuits in a pan, corn bread and black eyed peas, country ham, fried chicken, watermelon, sweet potato pie, (very) sweet tea, etc. Sure, you kick over from a heart attack at 55, but so what? We're going to heaven anyway, and most health nuts get alzheimers.
Talk about wandering down a dead end road!!!!! Who the hell cares. We’re stuck with socialism because the GOP shut out conservative christians who, on their side, refused to hold their noses and vote to stop Obama. Another Republican Circular Firing Squad!!!!
I didn’t like Romney. But I’ve worked with a fair number of Mormons and, to a man, they have been GREAT co-workers. Always on time, true to their word, honest, ethical. Heinlein noted that “One man’s theology is another man’s belly laugh’. If he would have been as good a president as the other Mormons I’ve known have been at their jobs he would have been great. Even the preacher at the church I went to at the time (Assembly of God) couldn’t think of a time he had ever had a dealing with a LDS’er that wasn’t above board.
I should have taken it as a sign of America's cultural down fall. But that wasn't the only sign.
These are the two big problems I saw with this election. One, some people who voted for Romney went out of their way to make Mormonism a Christian religion. ( Laura Ingraham, John Gibson, etc...)
Two, the people who voted for Obama. They didn't care about anything, not about his past, his political record or his faith.
I worry for my children's future.
For the love of pete! You can’t think of a better way to spend thanksgiving?
I thank God for his many mercies in my life, I thank him for the condescension of his son to come down to earth, and atone for my sins. I thank him for the freedoms that I still enjoy, and I covenant with him to keep his commandments, as I understand them.
I love my country, my wife and my God, and wish all men to have a wonderful day spent in thanks giving and love. This thread it’s incompatible with me today, so I won’t be back.
Love to you all, the spirit of Jesus Christ I leave with you, go forth and be thankful!
