Remember Jesus performed only a few miracles in his home town. Faith is a gift.

The e-mail states Teresa, who is on her way to sainthood in the Catholic church, “was not a friend of the poor,” but “was a friend of poverty.”

Are they trying to make the case that Mother Teresa was a Democrat politician?!!

Because DNC policies are designed deliberately to keep the poor in need of handouts.

So....like..don’t they know that MT is dead? Are they gonna dig her up and accuse her? Shit....while they’re at it, maybe they can dig up Mahatma G and diss him too.....

Honestly, all this reminds me of my daughter, my son, my grand daughters’ recitals, plays or put-ons, whatever, at grade school....gather together people that HAVE to be interested and make a big big deal out of it and heap praise and thoughtful thoughts about it (this must be the elite media’s job).....

I saw the Penn&Teller Bull§¶¡+ episode on Mother Teresa. The Atheist may have some good points, it’s worthy of discussion as long as both sides are presented.

Cause if you can’t trash a dead octogenarian nun who spent her lifetime pulling people out of gutters, what fun is there?

Mother Teresas’ ministry included holding the dirty, unwanted in her arms as they breathed their last breath, thus giving them some degree of dignity. She was an unwavering voice for the unborn. I could go on.

So, who is the most beloved and admired atheist in the world? Which great atheist has been humble? Which great atheist has done his/her work by preserving human life?

Who can the atheists brag about that stands for life?

This sounds very similar to what they do in North Korea. They put a person on stage and then the audience hurls invectives and accusations for a given period of time. I can’t remember the term for it.

“full-out romp against why one of the most beloved people of the century, Mother Teresa, is as Hitchens put it… ‘a lying, thieving Albanian dwarf.’”

I didn’t realize Mr. Hutchens was being FORCED to attend Church, recite Bible verses, tithe his income, and modify his DVR to only allow recordings of Billy Graham.

I also didn’t realize how Mother Theresa has so adversely affected Mr. Hutchens. It must be tough going through life carrying the shame...

Hutchins should learn to be respectful and tolerant of people of faith, we are the majority, and it will serve him well in life. Hutchins should also consider joining me at Church Sunday. Maybe he will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit and come to know Jesus as his Savior. Plus, we’re Baptists and the food is great. If he choses not to come to Church with me, I promise not to host a college seminar making absurd claims about him....

The e-mail states Teresa, who is on her way to sainthood in the Catholic church, “was not a friend of the poor,” but “was a friend of poverty” ... and also links to a now infamous article by the late Christopher Hitchens.

“It’s easy for a group of privileged Ivy League students who have never experienced poverty to meet in a ‘super secret room’ and think themselves as intellectuals by bashing Mother Teresa,” Melanie Wilcox, Executive Editor of the conservative Dartmouth Review, told Campus Reform.

AHA President Adam Hann, however, defended the event, but admitted he had intentionally used “provocative” language in the e-mail to excite interest among students.

Hann added that he estimates about five to ten people will participate in the event slated for this Saturday.

St. Peter asked Blessed Mother Teresa her reaction to such earthly buffoonery ….

The Nazi’s hated the church too. I don’t see a problem.

The proper response to this is too ignore this handful of over-priviledged SWINE (Al Capp: Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything) just like those other attention whores, PETA and their ilk. If we could do so, we deny them the thing that they most value, a media spotlight!

Of course, I am violating my own view on the proper response because I can't resist.

Atheists are such wonderful people, aren’t they? Who needs God when you’re a know-it-all atheist? My apologies to civil atheists who are not obnoxious, in-your-face jerks.

Because nothing says “respect for the value of human beings” quite like making fun of a woman who vowed poverty, chastity and obedience and went off to nurse the sick and dying in India.

There’s nothing braver than attacking a dead nun who spent most of her life working with the poor and the destitute/sarc.

If you were penniless with sores on your body on the street who would help you more than the other? Mother Teresa or Christopher Hitchens. Hmmmmmm . Maybe the one known for helping others than the one making fun of the one helping others. My faith is in the helper. Thank you very much.
