I have kept an eye on what people are saying in my circles about Obama’s re-election. Things don’t look too good there. Fear, anger, frustration, and hopelessness are filling the thoughts of those of us who are supposed to have the most hope. There is no time that the sin of idolatry comes to light more than after a Presidential election. One person I know says that they are taking off a week of work to recover. Another says they are leaving the country. Yet another says this is the downfall of America. It is the end. The downfall of America? The end? Really?
It is hard for me to get too upset about these elections. Sure, there are implications. These implications extend to my family and my job. They make me look at the people in my country and think, “Really, is this who we are now? Is this what it has come down to?” Were I to place the full weight of my body (which is getting lighter every day!) on the chair of human achievement, I suppose I would feel less secure today than I did yesterday. But I don’t and I can’t. In fact, I found myself rejoicing once the results came in.
Obama is our president for the next four years. How bad is that? I suppose I could talk about all the issues involved, both economic and moral. I suppose I could talk about how much worse it is now going to get. I suppose that I could get ready for the most bleak outcome: increased unemployment, higher taxes, less pay, fewer donations to Credo House, waiting in line for health care, homosexual marriage, increased toleration for the death of the unborn, increased intoleration for Christianity, and a thousand other things. But this would lack perspective. Whether it is Obama or Romney, I pause and take account of this fact: I live in the most secure, free, and moral country that has probably ever existed. And we are a long way from giving up this title. Are we heading toward a “fall”? Maybe, but we are still a long way from the cliff. In fact, it is not even in sight yet.
But let us say for the sake of argument that Obama is the iconic president who will lead the charge off the cliff. Let us say that America is heading for disaster. Let us say that in ten years our teeth will be on edge due to the sour grapes that Obama is handing out. Let us say that Obama will be the cause for an imminent loss of security, freedom, and morality. What then? If we knew this without a doubt, what then? Is it then time to despair? Is it then time for us to tear our cloaks, shave our heads, and go into mourning? How could it be?
My favorite theologian and philosopher, Bono, once said in a song about Christ’s death, “I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword. I threw the dice and they pierced his side. But I have seen love conquer the great divide” (“When Love Comes to Town”). The worst event in the history of the world is when we hung our Creator on a tree and let him die. We all went to the polling booth and said, “We will not have this man to rule over us.” We voted against the very incarnation of goodness, righteousness, and truth. We held the scabbard of the soldier’s sword as he killed our savior. Yet, while this was the worst event in the history of humanity, it was also the best. While it was a day for the greatest mourning in the history of the world, it was also a day for the greatest rejoicing in the history of the world. While angels gawked at the arrogance of man, they gawked more at the love of God. God drew the sword on himself that day. He was in charge. I held the scabbard as the King of Kings was unelected from office. Yet God’s plan was that through evil greatness might be revealed. Have we not learned? Do we stand in the crowd in front of the cross with hopeless despair or with great anticipation and excitement of what God is doing?
We all stand in front of the cross on election day, not knowing what God’s plan is. Will righteousness be delivered or killed? Will evil triumph or be smothered? Will we begin to heal or continue to be beaten? Who knows? But what we don’t have the right to do is keep from rejoicing in anticipation that our Father is going about his business and he has something in mind.
Obama has been reelected. Please don’t come down too hard on me as I rejoice. Me and my kids got down on our knees tonight and prayed that Romney would win. He did not. Yet, in a very real way, I am excited. No, I don’t agree with Obama, his policies, his plans, or his dreams. Yet I have this really awesome Father who does incredible things like kill his own Son. I have this Father who knows what he is doing and is in complete control. I have this Father who elected Barack Obama as his man and you are not going to believe what comes next. Yes, it looks bad. Yes, there are a lot of people in this crowd crying. Yes, they are without hope. But let me tell you about the way he works. It is too cool.
I am in the crowd tonight listening. Dashed dreams and hopelessness are topics of conversation. But I can’t join in. I know the Guy in charge of all this. And because I know his M.O., I will hold the scabbard with great anticipation and joy. God’s will has been done tonight and I can’t wait to see what he does next. Don’t fault me for rejoicing in the unexpected and unwanted. I can’t help it. This is Christianity 101.
“Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.” –Titus 3:1-2
Pray for my president that God elected tonight. I commit to loving and encouraging him. I will speak no ill-will of him. He is the man God elected and my arms are laid down. There is no authority except from God and who am I not to hold the scabbard of God’s mission? Selah.
America is a nation without God and has been given over to reprobate mind. It is those minds that elected Obama. Sure, God let it happen, because of our evils...the insistent killing of the least and the defenseless among us and the perverted marriage.

God's Plan doesn't need evil to reveal His greatness. The thought isn't Scriptural. One manner in which God responds to evil is by grace, but also by love, righteousness, justice, and vengeance.
Just because God’s Sovereignty rules over all things, doesn’t mean he approves, directs, or ordains all events.
If the decision is between 2 unbelievers, He might not lower Himself to make such a contrived decision, but instead might simply allow worldly power systems the liberty to exercise their decisions, manifesting to all Creation how their independence from His Will leads to catastrophic consequences.
One poor choice of words is in the article’s title. God’s election is different than a national election.
I just wrote my US Congressman from KS-4 today to hold fast to his principles - I support him in opposing Obama's tax increases.
The Bible is chock full of evil kings and rulers both in the OT and NT. I pray a grassroots conservative rise up IN GOD'S TIME to lead our nation and world through this great reset.
Obama is demonstrating every day what deceit buys. Our work as missionaries is to instruct from the timeless stories of the Bible just what he is.
We believe that individual liberty makes a nation stronger than any alternative because we have an inherent faith in the wisdom of free people.
We believe in free markets as superior to any other system because supply and demand react to each other in organic ways, not through manipulation, control or edict.
We believe in free will because God knows man will be better by making his own mistakes and learning from them rather than being controlled and channelled by a supreme being or group.
Those are not red lettered words. More of good advice on not getting thrown directly into the arena.
That said, we have a Constitution. I respect and submit to it. I do not respect and submit to false-leaders that usurp power which is not theirs.

America has crossed the Rubicon and nationally chosen to reject the Lord Jesus Christ and Almighty God's rule over our people and nation. They have purposely chosen to side with those who renounced the true and living God, and Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel... THREE TIMES. They have sided with those who hate America and her Judeo-Christian foundations, laws, morals and underpinnings. Sided with those who hate Israel, the Jews and the one true and Almighty God of Israel and the entire universe. Unless there is a national repentance and a nation-wide "Spiritual Awakening" and a turning in faith from our sin to a personal saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, that reaches from the President of the United States and his family, down to the lowliest person in America, as took place in Nineveh (this scenario, though possible, is highly unlikely), THERE IS NO NATIONAL SALVATION FROM WHAT IS COMING, ONLY JUDGMENT, FALL AND DESTRUCTION.
Godly Americans who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ (the "righteous remnant") residing in the land and those Americans who do not know the Lord, and yet voted against the evil outcome of this election need to do everything in their power to PREPARE, and do whatever you can to SURVIVE what is about to descend upon us. I am talking about surviving on the very basic level of the personal survival of themselves and their families and to take it one step further, maybe the survival of your neighborhood, town or small community.
God is using the crucible of judgment that is coming as a refiners fire to purify and refine the lives and faith of His people in America; those who truly know the Lord Jesus Christ, and to use this judgment as a means of calling individual Americans to personal, saving faith in Christ.
The sure and certain judgment that is coming to America will also serve as a test to separate the chaff from the wheat; separating false Christians from genuine Christians, those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ from those who do, separating the ungodly from the godly.
If you are reading this post today and do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior, I implore you, I beseech you to come to Christ and accept Him as your personal savior. He alone can and will save you from your sin. He alone can and will save your eternal soul. Flee, be reconciled to God, and be saved from this evil and perverse generation before it is eternally too late.
One more thing; in the new Obamaland-Amerika that is coming and already upon us, evangelical Christians and those professing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as the one and only savior, the true and living God, the "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" and the only, exclusive, way to heaven and to God the Father; and those proclaiming biblical Christianity, biblical morals and biblical ethics, ...these individuals, are the "new jews" as it were.
If you want to see how evangelical Christians and those espousing steadfast faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and biblical Christianity are going to be viewed and treated in Obamaland-Amerika and in our "society" at large, just look at how Germany viewed and treated the Jews under Hitler from the 1930's until Hitler's death and the utter collapse and destruction of fascist, Nazi Germany . That is what is coming to Obamaland-Amerika:
Bible believing evangelical Christians will at first be soundly, vocally ridiculed and their message rejected, they will then be ostracized from "society" and from gainful employment (these things are already taking place throughout America at an alarming, ever increasing rate). This animosity against them, their Christ and their brand of "Evangelical" Christianity will progress to outright persecution, imprisonment , and ultimately end in death if they cannot and will not accept "reeducation", recant their "evangelical" faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and become accepting participants in, and willing promoters of, Obamaland-Amerikan "society".
As for those who actually are ethnic Jews living in America; whether you voted for Obama or not, whether you are practicing the religion and faith of your forefathers or not. Author sounded like a dunce. Then I read up to where he said his favorite theologian and philosopher is Bono. Quit reading right there. Author is an obvious imbecile.
He also chooses Apostles, but He didn’t choose Matthias, but provided Paul instead. Man chose Matthias by drawing lots, even after praying to God for His guidance, but that doesn’t mean He will be forced by man to make a choice from man’s selection.
I agree with a lot you say but if you are right on all counts then i really did wrong, i voted for Romney and since you obviously did also, then we committed a great sin against god.
If it was Gods will for Obama to stay in the white house then God forgive us and i think maybe we all should think about it very carefully before giving sermons to some one else.
Those are not red lettered words. More of good advice on not getting thrown directly into the arena.

Obamas greatest failure is cursing Israel.
Israel will no longer be restrained and will soon attack Iran unleashing total world chaos.
As for us here gas prices will double or triple which will devastate shipping costs which will in turn cripple our already fragile and failing economy which then in turn spread to the rest of the world.
Tough times are certainly ahead.
Prepare for shortages.
Also I would encourage people to help the unprepared.
Have a plan because they will not.
I work at a food shelf and plan to help my neighbors with the resources at my disposal.
I can help provide food, security and leadership.
Lawlessness will certainly increase and the ability to organize neighborhoods will a valuable commodity in short supply.
That ability is attained by simply having a plan.
I am ready.
Who will people look to for leadership, preppers who go underground or shoot people on sight? Or those who have a plan to help them?
