“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” ~~~ II Thess. 3:1-3 ~~~

““Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, And the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; The heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand.”

~Psalm 95:1-

Dear Father in Heaven,

We come to You in the Name of Your Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, on behalf of our American Heroes, and our beautiful country. We come with the knowledge that You are All-Powerful and Your Authority is Absolute, Your purposes are complete. We are thankful that You remain our Heroes refuge and strength, their Helper by day and by night.

We ask that You prepare our Troops for battle by giving them the desire to pray to their Refuge, our Holy God, the Creator of the universe and Jesus Christ, His only Begotten Son. May they call upon You for the wisdom of Jesus Christ, with the help of the Holy Spirit and the encouragement of Your Divine love.

Thank You, Lord Jesus Christ for giving us the finest fighting forces in the world. No matter what the circumstances, we ask with faith believing, may our Troops always be provided for with the BEST of everything to meet their every need! They are willing to lay down their lives for our freedoms, they deserve the finest this nation can supply it’s military.

We ask Precious Lord, for the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual healing of our wounded men and women. Please give their beloved families the strength and comfort they need to minister to their brave Heroes when they arrive home.

We Praise and Adore You! We thank You for this wonderful country. We pray for the lives of the people You have placed in authority over us. May they seek Your face, and come to You, and come to complete repentence! May this nation know a Revival! A return to You! Please, forgive our Nation’s evil ways. Beloved Lord, we look to You to help this nation realize the need for Godly men and women who truly love You, and love our true friend, Israel, in order to lead our country back to You and to our First Love, Jesus Christ, the King of kings and LORD of lords!

To You be all the Glory, Honor and Praise. Amen

A Unique Choir

September 1, 2012

When Mitch Miller died in July 2010, most people remembered him as the man who invited everyone to sing along. On his popular 1960s TV program Sing Along with Mitch, an all-male chorus sang well-loved songs while the words appeared on the screen so viewers could join in. A Los Angeles Times obituary cited Miller’s belief that one reason for the program’s success was the appeal of his chorus: “I always made a point of hiring singers who were tall, short, bald, round, fat, whatever—everyday-looking guys.” From that unified diversity came beautiful music in which everyone was invited to participate.

In Romans 15, Paul called for unity among the followers of Christ—“that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (v.6). From several Old Testament passages, he spoke of Gentiles and Jews together singing praise to God (vv.9-12). A unity that had been considered impossible became reality as people who had been deeply divided began thanking God together for His mercy shown in Christ. Like them, we are filled with joy, peace, and hope “by the power of the Holy Spirit” (v.13).

What a unique “choir” we belong to, and what a privilege it is to sing along!

Lord, we are grateful that we can be a part of Your
family. Help us to live in unity with our brothers and
sisters in Christ so that others may see how gracious
You are and want to know You too. Amen.
Unity among believers comes from our union with Christ.

PRAYERS GOING UP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!

GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON
THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these brave men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
