Long before our God began his creations, he dwelt on a mortal world like ours, one of the creations that his Father had created for him and his brethren. He, with many of his brethren, was obedient to the principles of the eternal gospel. One among these, it is presumed, was a savior for them, and through him they obtained a resurrection and an exaltation on an eternal, celestial world. 8 Then they gained the power and godhood of their Father and were made heirs of all that he had, continuing his works and creating worlds of their own for their own posteritythe same as their Father had done before, and his Father, and his Father, and on and on.

Oh?
GOD seems to have used non-believers in the past to get His will done!
What did I do wrong; not to get one of those?
;^)
I wasn’t going to buy a lottery ticket, due to the nearly impossible odds, but the the jackpot grew to five hundred million...
(Same braincells at work)
Proverbs 16 V.4: The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Yep, when the lottery got up to a half billion, I figured if I won that, I could pay most of my bills!
I emphatically believe in a Creator but not in any organized religion most of which of course do great good otherwise.
We are nothing more than images in our Creator's "video game;" and that "game" is not reality for our Creator anymore than a computer video game is reality for us.
Our Creator can make himself seem to be an entity in our world and appear to us as anything He chooses to be. A burning bush that can talk for example. No problem. If it was not made up and it really happened.
We can no more understand and explain our Creator than an image in a computer video game can understand humans -- even after future programmers code most human sensations into characters and give the characters a form of consciousness.
Our Creator of course created entities in our universe who are so advanced that they appear to be gods to us.
IMO and I did not single out Mormons.
FWIW if Padre Pio bore the "wounds of Christ" then the Shroud of Turin is a fake." If the Shroud of Turin is authentic, then Padre Pio was a fake.
Matthew 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas.
Yes but..
In case some are not familiar with the term multiverses here is a reference.
Though this is a wiki graffiti source it does comport well with what I have heard others describe in various radio interviews. A common way to describe multiverses has been as soap bubbles with each bubble a separate universe.
At least they believe in Jesus...but aside from that they are quite a gullible bunch.
Nice find. Please note this is from lds.org. Now to take care of grandchildren.
Well, not exactly. The lds jesus is a created being as well as his brother satan. He is progressed to a minor god hood status, to be a help in the lds salvation which must be worked for.
The Biblical Jesus is eternal and sufficient for Salvation.
Over a trillion isn’t an infinite amount. It’s hardly endless at all. But there’s a few billion planets in our galaxy, say scientists, and there are a few billion galaxies in the universe. Going by that, there’s a lot of planets.
And unlike a lot of scientists, I don’t believe the planet has to be like ours to sustain life.

So you're telling all of us that your worldview narrative was written by Hollywood in a movie series called the Matrix.
And that of all the sources to "trust" about worldview narratives, you find Hollywood most trustworthy.
Uh....Okay????
Our Creator can make himself seem to be an entity in our world and appear to us as anything He chooses to be. A burning bush that can talk for example. No problem. If it was not made up and it really happened.
And you can make yourself to be any entity on FR & appear under such a moniker (you chose William of Carmichael) ... that is, if your posting history was not made up...and it really happened...
Well, even on the "believe in Jesus," which Jesus?
There is another Jesus (2 Cor. 11:3-4)...and plenty of false Messiahs (Matt. 24).
For example:
* The "Jesus" of the Marharishi of TM is a Jesus who never suffered.
* The "Jesus" of Guru Maharaj Ji supposedly merged with Krishna, Ram and Buddha.
* The only difference between the Moonie "jesus" and the rest of us, says, Sun Myung Moon, is that Jesus had no original sin nature.
* The "Jesus" of Christian Science think of themselves as "Christian," yet they don't believe Jesus is God.
* The "Jesus" of the Jehovah's Witnesses is not Almighty and is "a god," but not "THE" God; nor did He bodily resurrect.
* The "Jesus" of many gnostics would in no way incarnate a human body -- because that to them would be too "corrupt" of a thing to do.
* The "Jesus" of Brigham Young is one redeemer-savior among who knows how many? "He was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. On every earth. How many earths are there?...Consequently every earth has its redeemer..." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 14, p. 71, 1870) [IOW...'tis not a whole lot "unique" in this Mormon jesus compared to who knows how many other "saviors" on other planets]
* The "Jesus" of Mormonism is a pre-existent spirit-creature; a son of a God-man whose next-in-line brother is "Lucifer/Satan" -- a "Jesus" who had to work out his own salvation; and whose blood didn't cover all of our personal sins (thereby rendering him as an incomplete, inadequate "savior").
We have to ask: How can all these "Jesuses" be the same One all of the above groups confess and profess?
Is there a "Jesus" who...
...suffers as well as a TM "Jesus" who doesn't?
...resurrects bodily & a JW "Jesus" who doesn't?
...transcends us in every way & a Moonie "Jesus" who only transcends us sin-wise?
...is united with the Father & the Spirit vs. a Hindu offshoot/New Age "Jesus" who merges as part of a divine flame or divine ocean?
...is THE fully-God, fully-man incarnate son of God vs. a less-than-human embodied gnostic "Jesus"?
...is THE Savior vs. a Mormon "Jesus" who competes with ALL kinds of "saviors" on other planets (per Brigham) & ALL kinds of "saviors" on THIS planet (per Lds "prophet" John Taylor's description of Baptism of the dead "saviors")??
...is THE Creator vs. a Mormon "Jesus," a mere spirit-creature?
...is THE Savior vs. a Mormon "Jesus" who is touted by Lds leaders as a "saved being?"
...created Lucifer (Col. 1:16-17) vs. a Mormon "Jesus" who "lucked out" on being ahead of Lucifer spirit-birth assembly line, only because of spirit-birth order???
...died BOTH for our sin nature AND ALL of our personal sins vs. a Mormon "Jesus" who didn't?
By your comment, we'd have to define JWs, Christian Science, Moonies, New Age adherents, & all the rest as "believing in Jesus," too!
"I always like to use the analogy of Jim Caviezel [In Mel Gibson's 'The Passion of The Christ']. Like the Mormon Jesus, he dressed the part, spoke the same words (in the original language, no less), and was referred to as Jesus Christ within a specific context, but it makes all the difference in the world whether one worships and depends upon him for their salvation or the genuine article." [borrowed from Freeper William Clark, illustrating how one can have faith in 'a' Christ but not the true Savior Christ.]
I ask, do you believe angels are alive? And in what context are the angels ‘alive’. So yes, it doesn’t take a planet just exactly like our Earth to sustain life. God is the Author of Life, thus Life in all the various manifestations. When you look at the fifth chapter of the OT Book of Daniel, you see a being standing in one realm yet reaching into our realm to write on a wall. Was that being standing on this Earth? ... food for thought my FRiend. I know you will enjoy the journey.
I haven’t followed the Christian faith for some time, but that doesn’t mean I don’t believe in a higher power. As for angels, I have the same view on ghosts. When I see it for myself, I’ll believe in it.
I would imagine there’s no easy way for this to be explained or understood.
Do you have any notion of the electromagnetic spectrum, which includes radio waves to gamma rays?
What about the smallest amount of physical quantity that can exist -- a quantum that exists both as matter and as an electromagnetic wave.
We and all matter are nothing more than those waves which we perceive as matter.
That "matter" conforms to laws of physics coded by our Creator the culmination of which is us and us perceiving a physical world that includes ourselves.
Our Creator coded the laws of physics which we perceive as matter and has yielded us and all that we perceive as our universe.
We will never be able to duplicate the accomplishments of or even totally understand what our Creator is.
RE: "And that of all the sources to "trust" about worldview narratives, you find Hollywood most trustworthy."
Obviously I am not a scientist -- so I can expect insults of that nature and worse; but I honestly do not think that my expressions were so bad that I seemed to be saying that Hollywood fiction was the source of my faith. I am not talking about man fooling man -- yes I am talking about perception (I saw the movie once) but the perception begins at the quantum level and has nothing to do AT ALL with the doings of man.
