From the article: “Romney’s nomination would cause the erroneous view that has long existed in the minds of black people, that the Republican Party is prejudice to become a reality. Also, if Romney gets the nomination, President Obama’s super pacs will educate the American people about his racist religion and he will probably lose to Obama,”

This is what we have been saying on FR since 2007. It would be stupid to have a mormon nominee against a black man, but the RINO establishment is bent on proving that point.

Do the math. African Americans are about 12% of the U.S. population. In a very good year for the GOP, maybe 10% of them might vote for the GOP candidate, or 1.2%.

Mormons are about 2% of the U.S. population. In a very good year for the GOP, maybe 95% of them might vote for the GOP candidate, or 1.9%.

I can cite you hundreds of examples about how ObaMao's racist hate America religion has been translated into harmful public policy. I can't cite one such example with Mormons unless you want to join the Obama administration in labeling Arizona's law on illegal aliens racist because a state legislator of the Mormon faith introduced it.

Your reaction here reminds me of a parallel...how people would be more upset over the pictures of aborted babies than the laws that allow them & the abortionists who would dismember them.

Since Romney is against a given baby in the womb (he favors allowing parents to "donate" them to research), he is not pro-life. But he puts up a pretense.

If I exposed Romney for the pro-life-taking bastard he is, with resulting dismembered babies' pix in accompaniment, I suppose you would comment that perhaps we should sequester that "dirty work" info & those pix lest somebody who wants to take even more pre-borns' lives get re-elected.

That's what so horrifying here...We have so-called "conservatives" implying, "Let's vote for the mass murderer; otherwise the mass-mass-mass murderer might get re-elected."

You? It's not the open racism that upsets or provokes you. No. It's that a critique of this racist-promulgation actually sees the light of the day.

It's this kind of 'tudes that allows both abortion and racism to flourish.

The reason not to support Romney is his two-faced, lying, liberal record.

However, I don't understand Republicans who think: Shhhh! If Republicans don't bring up these negative issues about Romney, Democrats will never find out about them and the public will never hear about them in the national election."

The Democrats know. They're already way ahead of the game. On this issue, you just saw Romney get tapped with a four-ounce, nylon-headed, watchmakers' hammer. In the fall, the Democrats (and the media) are going to be using 20-pound sledges on all of these issues.

Actually, if you know the history of Mormonism, the original writings of their leaders, you'd be embarrassed for Mormons. Obama's team won't have to lie about this one because the truth about Mormonism is pretty damning.

You can pretend this will never come out in the General election, but you are just ignoring the reality of a candidate in a cult.

He alienates the base of Conservative voters. He alienates the base of evangelical voters. He alienates the values voters. He is a poor candidate. It is far better that he be vetted now, before it all comes out later.

I’m not embarrassed by the truth, wherever I find it. I’m embarrassed by those who don’t care about truth, but want to be considered conservative... or Christians.

Kid your blush is only just warming up...

Wait till Mormon bishop and high priest Willie Mitty is facing Obama

Then yer face will really get red..

Personally as a Christian I’m not concerned about how perturbed the members of a false religion want to get..
