My Brother-In-Law Scott is very ill
He was clearing brush in Hawaii and contracted a very aggressive Staph infection. He tried to battle the illness by himself for three weeks before calling for help and by the time the doctors discovered what was causing his symptoms, a great deal of damage had already been done, especially to his lungs. He is now in Septic Shock, his blood pressure is extremely low and the prognosis is not good.
Just came in from the office...long day...got your update post...couldn’t think of a better way to close my day than in prayer. Health to the BIL and peace and comfort to his family. God is the Great Physician. He holds all of you in the palm of his hand and under the shadow of his wing. The medical team included too.
Wow! I will be praying. All from an infection. Jesus Please Heal This One Give him the strength!
Prayers continue
Look down, O Lord, in Thy mercy,
upon those who bow before Thy majesty;
that they who are refreshed by Thy divine gift may ever be sustained by heavenly healing and aid,
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who livest and reignest,
with You Almighty Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God; for ever and ever.
Amen.
Thank you for the update and for the ping.
Prayers lifted, with thanks that Scott is well enough to undergo the surgery, and for strength to see both him and all who love him through it. Also dear Lord, please guide Scott’s medical team in their care for him.
May God hold you all close.
Tatt
May the angels encamp around Scott and the entire team of medical angels and give them skill, courage and wisdom!
Lord our God, grant healing to Scott and steady the hand of the surgeons.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Continued prayers for Scott, his doctors, and his family.
Thank you for the ping of the update.
Thank you for that update. Prayers continue.
Continued prayers for successful surgery. May God bless Scott keeping him strong and faithful.
Thanks again for everyones continued prayers they are very comforting.
Scotts surgery was very rough but never the less a success. They took him off sedation for most of the day yesterday. While I was reading the posts from this prayer thread aloud to him, Scott started to become very alert, especially at Dogbert41s post #49, he began to focus and within the hour he was even responding to simple commands.
God Bless everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers.
It’s so good to hear when our prayers are answered!!!
Thank you, everyone again for your continued thoughts and prayers.
Scott is improving and even speaking a few words at a time. Yesterday, as we were going for the day we said a prayer and my wife Ann got out the Holy Water to give Scott a blessing. He has so much difficulty speaking but much to my surprise out came “Use lot’s of it!”
This morning for the first time since we arrived Wednesday he seems to be resting comfortably.
Rejoice and Praise God Almighty!
Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers. Scott actually got some rest yesterday and slept most of the morning. Even though it seems to hurt him a bit we have gotten him to laugh. There will be months of recovery ahead and we are praying that we have seen the last of the setbacks.
God makes miracles every day.
Sorry for not pinging everyone correctly, please look for updates in posts #74,#92 and #94
Thank you for the update. Prayers continue.
Keep making him laugh; it’s great medicine.
Prayers for Scott!
Jubilant at his progress. Heartfelt prayers for rapid and complete recovery.
In Jesus' name, Abba Father, Amen.
Leni
Thank God! I will continue to pray for Scott’s recovery. God Bless!
Thank you for the wonderful updates, and Thank You Lord for the miracle of laughter; it heals both the one laughing, and those who have waited so long to hear it again!
Thank You Lord, for blessings without number.
Tatt
