Question on Cremation. Does the Bible say anything about it? Is it forbidden?

Some Christian leaders suggest cremation is sub-Christian, though not non-Christian. The human body is a temple and a gift from God and as such deserves to be regarded with respect. Whether cremation, burial or burial at sea, it doesn’t matter, just have it done with respect.

He’s a pretty straight arrow; He’s also a big proponent of the Tridentine Rite. I imagine he has an exemption from the bishop, else he wouldn’t risk it. I imagine.
Ummm Try reading it again, it was in opposition to the HETRETICAL practices denying the BIBLICAL belief in the bodily resurrection.
I don't know of any Cemeteries "owned" by the Catholic Church, just as i don't know of any Protestant cemeteries owned by Protestant churches or Jewish ones owned by Jewish Synagogues.
You might want to reign in your bigotry.

Fish and chips while you wait and room to get in some fishing after, with all the time and money you saved. PLUS float that urn out on a little burning Viking ship while you are at the lake.
Your post reminds me of that old Twilight Zone episode where the guy was in a car accident and pronounced dead but was actually alive. He was alert but he couldn’t communicate. When he was placed on the coroner’s table a single tear finally alerted the medical personnel that he was still alive.
The nightmare about my mil was probably due to trauma about her death and my aversion to cremation that was already in place.
That just circumstance.

Agreat example of being selfish, to deny someone else possible life. Look at it this way, to donate an organ for someone else to live means a part of you also lives on.
And you don't know of any cemetaries "owned" by the Catholic Church? You really need to educate yourself. There are thousands of them - and my grandmother is buried in one (Holyrood). Google for Catholic Cemeteries and you'll find hundreds in the US. Go walk around Europe and you'll find nearly all churches with a cemetery on Church grounds (and rich/powerful people buried INSIDE the churches).
You should reign in your touchy nerves - there's no bigotry there, just your own intolerance of any position opposite that you hold. Just like funerals are for the living, I believe grave sites are as well. My dad died when I was 6. Every time I go to his grave site I cry and carry on like it was just yesterday.
I bring lunch and 2 beers (he LOVED his beer). I bring one for him and one for me. Yes, I do pour his over his grass. As I have stated, it's just comforting for me.
Just knowing his now dusty body, after all these years, are just there 6 feet below make me feel better.
Purely psychological, but it makes me feel like he's still there.

We buried my brother in a homemade pine box. Not in LA County, and maybe that’s why it was easy and fine with the cemetery. My other brother made it.
I believe the question was whether there was any Biblical intruction on or about cremation. And I also believe THAT was the question I answered.
I still think there is not a thing wrong with filling duck decoys, fishin lures or shotgun shells with ashes.

Pre-paying for funerals helps to reduce expenses (today’s prices vs. tomorrow’s inflation) and where I plan to have my remains buried, I was told there is room to fit cremated remains of others along with me so perhaps several could pitch in for one traditional burial plot and then be a gravesite for 6-8 people. That would certainly cut down on costs.
