Absolutely not. Islam is a Satanic cult. All you have to do is read the Quran to see it.

In Before The Zot.

Muslims worship a meteorite idol.

Catholics worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by whom all things were made.

No comparison.

JimRob will NOT like this post, I predict.

Isn’t all this biblical commentary contrary to the idea of Sola Scriptura?

I don’t think this guy can walk and chew gum at the same time.

First he points out that a lot of liberal Protestant ministers have abandoned any semblance of Christianity. Then he does a 180 and says that the Catholic Church is . . . Muslim.

Evidently Martin Luther told him so.

So where does that put the Protestants since they profess in Christ, in the Father and in the Holy Spirit?

So I guess all those Crusaders were mistaken when they took arms to reclaim the Holy Land from Islam in the name of Christ.

Please.

You cannot teach the Ahl al-Kitab, the People of the Book, as related, and then turn around and proceed to kill them—Saturday first, Sunday next. Neither can you inscribe “God has no son” on the roof of the Dome of the Rock in Arabic—in gold—and worship the Triune God. You cannot look upon Jesus as denouncing Christians upon His return.

In a word, this is not true, even if it is taught as valid in multitudes of ME studies courses.

Your disastrously incorrect answer is important.

There is only one God.

Whatever people in error, people with unregenerate hearts, may think, there is only one God.

You say:

as many as unregenerate hearts
But that is wrong. Unregenerate hearts do not make gods. They make errors.

We think the Muslims make disastrous errors about God. You SAY (who can tell what you think -- or IF you think) that they worship a different God.

But there is only one God. You say there are many. That is the logical working out of what you say.

So you talk like polytheists.

God is not what anyone thinks he is. But you say otherwise.

We say they worship the one God about whom they are mistaken in many important ways.

You say there are many Gods. WE are monotheists. If one were to take what you say seriously, one would have to say that you are not.

Are you talking about "gods" (i.e., including false gods) or real ones?

There is only one real one. See Isaiah chs 43-45, where it's stated quite clearly that there's only one real God ... about 6 or 8 separate times. Hard to know what the Scriptures could say to make that more clear.

BTW, Nostra Aetate never uses the term "the same God" to describe what Muslims and Catholics worship. That's an interpolation people have added to the text, but the text itself doesn't use those words.

Presumably we can agree that Protestants worship the one God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; an uncreated, eternal being who made all things ex nihilo.

We can also agree that Catholics claim to worship the same being.

And we can also agree that Muslims make the same claim about the being they worship.

I don't think Nostra Aetate really intended to posit anything more than that. Nor can it, really, because it can't teach Muslim doctrine infallibly, even if it could teach Catholic doctrine infallibly (some Catholics would dispute that as well).

It's also a matter of record that Catholicism is a Trinitarian faith, and Islam regards the Trinity as blasphemy (setting aside the awkward fact that their "holy" book which came straight from "God" can't even get the definition of the Trinity right).

For example, let’s consider this “adding” to the Gospel from Nostra Aetate “the Declaration on the Relation of the [Roman Catholic] Church to Non-Christian Religions, which was Proclaimed by His Holiness Pope Paul VI – October 28, 1965”

Nostra Aetate was part of the Vatican II robber's council which fraudulently introduced doctrine in conflict with previously established infallible doctrine.

all flow from a common sacred fountainhead: a single figure, at once famous and mysterious, a Middle Eastern man named Abraham of Ur

This false claim illustrates the peril of putting Abraham up on a pedestal.

Abraham was never God, and is the source of nothing.

God is the source of all good things.

And whatever Islam worships, it isn't the Heavenly Father of Christ.

I believe there is only one God, but even Satan knows that and he trembles in fear knowing that his time is about up but refusing to acknowledge it.

I believe there is only one God, so for that reason i only read one book and that is the one i believe is inspired by God.

I will not comment on the authors message because i quit reading about 2 thirds of the way down as i did not know what he was saying anyway.

I just don,t care about what doctor,Rev,or professor so and so wrote or said.

Is the Catholic Church an apostate church ( what ever that means ) it comes from rev about the great harlot, if she is then that means that her daughters which are the protestant Churches are also apostate.

Jesus said Know the truth and the truth shall set you free, we need to read the gospel and we will get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, but if we follow after religion we will get some truth with a bunch of lies sprinkled all over it.

Beating down other Christian denominations, does not bring yours up...you’re living in a false economy. You should try supporting your own faith, for a change that would be much more sincere.
