Gay Episcopal Bishop to Preach at San Francisco Catholic Parish
Catholic Culture ^ | 11/22/11

A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.

Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.

>>I also never lie.<<

The whole “apparition of Mary” is a lie.

Do they not understand the parable of the wheat and tares? That the two were to grow together, one indistinguishable from the other until maturity just before the harvest?

Oh my.....

...because they trust in the Catholic Church for their salvation. ERGO, if you aren’t Catholic, you can’t be saved. ERGO, you’re not a Christian. Lovely, huh?

It’s pure pagan churchianity. I was just reading on another thread where people in Russia are waiting for like 24 hrs in line in 24 degree temps to see a supposed belt that Mary wore. It amazes me that they still claim it’s not idolatry.

I’ve missed that thread...lol! A BELT? What is wrong with people..they will freeze to death waiting to see a belt, but cannot tell you what the gospel is.

There is nothing in Scripture that indicates anything more than a confession of having trusted Christ for salvation is necessary to qualify for being water baptized.

I also never lie.

Where'd that come from? Who said you did?

If you trust in Catholicism, you’re Catholic.

If you trust in Lutheranism, you’re Lutheran.

If you trust in Mormonism, you’re Mormon.

If you trust in Christ, you’re a Christian.

Amen, mm. The name "Christian" has been hi-jacked by those who follow another Jesus, another gospel, another spirit. God knows who are His and whose name are written in the Book of Life. I will not let my joy in being a Christian be made of no effect because the meaning has been taken over by those who set about to deceive.

It means what it says: You're a Christian if you trust in Christ. Thank you!

Even Mormons have recently started demanding that they be called *Christian* and if that doesn’t make a mockery of the term, I don’t know what does.

The word these days is almost meaningless.

Mom, im sorry listen to me honestly, read about Akita:

"In order that the world might know His anger, the Heavenly Father is preparing to inflict a great chastisement on all mankind.

With my Son I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father. I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross, His Precious Blood, and beloved souls who console Him forming a cohort of victim souls.

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Why don't you people believe God??? I think some of you people actually want to be Christians and not just religious...Study the scriptures...Read what God says about it...

Mary did NOT offer Jesus as the sacrifice...Jesus offered himself...

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

How can you believe such a lie??? And your popes agree with this lie and sanction it...

Prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices can soften the Father's anger. I desire this also from your community...that it love poverty, that it sanctify itself and pray in reparation for the ingratitude and outrages of so many men.

God is not angry with us, his children...Your apparition lied again...

"Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved."

Another outrageous lie...You have been duped by a demon...You have fallen right into the lap of Satan...

Mary is not a co-mediator with Jesus...It's a flat out lie...

AND, Mary can not save anyone...Trusting Mary for you salvation will land you in the fire laden pits of hell...

Don't you even know that Satan can mimic most anything Jesus can do with signs and lying wonders???

Wait, what? I thought all Catholics were unified under one set of rules.

For the most part, yes. However, you can’t prevent troublemakers from simply existing, including in this day and age especially so. For instance, I could blog and claim to be a Catholic Priest over this great mask called the internet, it would be lying for me to do it, but there’s nothing to stop me from doing it. I could call myself Catholic and be stubborn about it, it wouldn’t neccessarily be right, but I could do it. I could go on and on, but the point is, it doesn’t appear to be God’s way that troublemakers can’t profess or exist amongst a religion’s ranks, however, as Jesus said in speaking of wheat and tares, the two ultimately become fully distinguishable, and will ultimately be weeded out, and it won’t be pretty, but again, you can’t say he didn’t give fair warning.

I can't take this.

"I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross, His Precious Blood, and beloved souls who console Him forming a cohort of victim souls."

Don't you understand HE IS RISEN? He is NOT a "VICTIM". He is the "VICTOR". "It is finished" means exactly what it says. His sacrificial work of redemption was done. Christ presented the sacrifice of His life to the Father ONLY ONCE. He "entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption". (Heb. 9:12).

How do we KNOW that God accepted Christ's finished work? "Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom." Matt. 27:51.

The next and greatest example of the Father's acceptance of Christ's sacrifice happened three days later, the resurrection. Jesus "was raised because of our justification" Rom. 4:25. His work now being FINISHED and ACCEPTED by the Father, He is now sitting at the right hand of God. There is NO more "victimhood" of Jesus Christ. And as believers, we are in Christ. We are partakers of His death, burial and resurrection. We are no longer "victims" of sin and death.

Mary hasn't "intervened" in ANY part of man's redemption. Or to "appease the wrath of the Father." Nor has she "prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross..." THe offering was made by Christ to the Father at Calvary. And accepted. As we have PROOF, by His resurrection.

and another thing. "With my Son I have INTERVENED SO MANY TIMES to APPEASE THE WRATH OF THE FATHER. I HAVE PREVENTED THE COMING OF CALAMITIES..."

"And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation: even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;"

AND

"THe Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Do you HONESTLY believe that Mary has prevented calamities and intervened to appease the wrath of the Father? Or could it be that God's Word tells us why He has not yet poured out His wrath on mankind?

You are willing to believe an "apparition" over the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD? Either God is lying or your "apparition" is lying. Because they are saying opposite things. You choose.

The devil works the most among those who he counts as a greater victory to win over. What is the triumph in pursuing those who are already given over to him?

I trust and hope for Christ for my salvation and know that the Church is the instrument of that salvation as it has the fullness of Truth.
