I’m not sure why this open display of faith is a problem now.
David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs used to be quite open about his faith and as far as I can remember, did not get any flak for it.

I don’t care about the Broncos, nor do I follow them - but when I heard he was playing, I wanted Tebow to win it, for this reason alone.

After the way that game went for 3 1/2 quarters, he SHOULD be thanking Jesus for that miraculous win.

And what will Tim say when he fails in a game? Will he blame God?
Tim, I like you. But I do not believe that God opposed the Dolphins, which is the back side of your claim.

I am glad the Broncos won. It's really a shame that a guy is hounded for his faith in what was once a Christian country, while a dog-killing punk like Vick is lionized.
That said, I doubt that God plays favorites in multimillion dollar sporting events.

Even on the right, some people are seeking victimhood when its not there.
Athletes and musicians have been thanking Jesus or God forever in our society and nobody cares, beyond a few lunatic atheist fringers that are ignored by all.

The world hates Jesus and wants Tim to do bad because of his faith in Jesus. That’s why I’m a Kurt Warner fan.

I like the guy, I think he is a good kid; however, Jesus had nothing to do with controlling the outcome of a football game.

Public expressions of faith in Jesus Christ have been a part of the life of America from its earliest days. For any who doubt that fact, I recommend a visit to a collection of such expressions, entitled
"A Few Declarations of Founding Fathers and Early Statesmen on Jesus, Christianity, and the Bible" . David Barton at Wallbuilders has provided facts to counteract the fiction which has been perpetrated by revisionist historians about the faith of the Founders.
The kind of ignorance displayed by those who find comments by private citizens like Tim Tebow to be threatening or simply inappropriate is appalling.
America was founded on a philosophy far different than the oppressive, offensive political-correctness-masked-as-progressivism of today.
Shame on our schools and 'public' institutions which promote the idea that freedom of expression about Christian faith is in any way inappropriate or threatening to anybody.

In the 2009 Bowl Championship Series, he wore John 3:16In his last college game, he wore Ephesians 2:8-10. As much as I hate the Florida Gators, I loved watching Tim Tebow play. Listening to the college football shows on the radio, I enjoyed the fact that the discussion topic centered on which verse Tebow had on his shadow decal. Tebow is a class act, and is one who will be a light on a lampstand for all to see. God bless him.
