You should read the rest of the thread before jumping to conclusions. Stuartcr isn’t familiar with Scripture, so I was trying to get him to educate himself.

You are correct. I will add that I believe that God instills in each of us, His truth, and it varies between individuals.

“Thou shalt not covet”

You’ve heard that, I’m sure.

If I really really want to hear it, am I guilty of coveting “thou shalt nor covet”?

Aren’t pearls an irritant formed as a result of foreign body intrusion?

yes, you can make it your business if you want to be nosy and uncharitable.

Come as you are yes, but if one has time to show modesty, one should.

A Lutheran friend of mine related a story about a homeless man that came into the church one Sunday morning. He plopped himself on the floor between the pews near the pulpit. An elder member of the church noticed this and he being known as a very stern and strict adherent of his views, approached the man and all expected this elder to escort this person either out the door or to a seat. Neither happened, he plopped down on the floor, and sat with this man for the entire service. I am sure there is a lesson to be learned in this, don’t you think.

Yes I do believe there is a message in that lutheran story. It appears to reinforce everything I have stated in this entire blog.It shows that rather than condemn the man for his attire,he lowered himself, just as Christ did to meet the man at his level.Thank you for verifying my statemants.

The last time I was in the ME, I got a natural pearl string for my wife. I like them better than cultured.

I agree. One man’s glance, is anothers’ DWELL. Pretty hard to make an honest judgement of someone’s character.

Judge your own. No one asks you to judge anyone else’s.

That’s what I do. Can’t say the same for lots of folks here on FR though. Just looking at this thread shows that.
