Dr. Richard Grossman is a Quaker, an adherent of the Protestant Christian sect famous for its aversion to violence.
“The reason I perform abortions is because I’m a Christian,” Dr. Grossman has said in print.
///
??? ...he thinks Jesus would approve?!?
and abortions are not “violence”?

Sun-Tzu says to win, you must understand your enemies.
but understanding Grossman, is beyond me...

But, but, but, a woman has the right to choose! //sarcasm off

As I’ve always told my kids, if you want to belong to the club you have to follow the rules. There are a lot of things I do not like about the church, but I get up every morning with the intent and desire to follow the rules. Because I believe that will bring me salvation. Because I made a promise before God that I would make that effort.

Your mileage may vary.

But you cannot, for a second, think that its OK to pick and choose which part of the rules you will follow. This is not a Chinese menu.

Something to keep in mind when you find yourself not liking the “rules” .... look what decades of changing or getting rid of a lot of those rules has done.

May God bless this group in their efforts to remove this “doctor” from the Mercy staff.

I beg to differ. You can be Catholic, Baptist, or of any other denomination and be “pro-choice”. There are millions of people who attend churches sporadically and consider themselves of that denomination. However, you cannot be a Christian and be pro-choice.

However, you cannot be a Christian and be pro-choice.

Are you saying being pro-choice is a requirement for salvation now?

HUH????
“However, you cannot be a Christian and be pro-choice.
Are you saying being pro-choice is a requirement for salvation now?”
Again, HUH???

As a Christian you should value life. The murder of an innocent child is still murder. As a Christian you should not support murder (if you don’t believe it is murder do a web search for 3rd term, partial birth abortions) but you should pray for the person who made that decision. That decision is between them and God and isn’t my business. Because it is a personal decision I don’t believe my tax dollars should support an act that has murdered millions of innocent children.

I'm Catholic.

I'm Pro-Choice.

We should be free to choose whether to carry a pistol, or a revolver.

We should be free to choose among 9mm, .45 ACP, .357 Mag, or whatever else we might desire.

Black, blue, pink, camouflage, wood, plastic ... all free choices we have a right to make.

Yep, I'm pro choice ...

It was kind of a yes or no question.

Your point is non-sensical. You are essentially claiming a person cannot be Christian if they are Catholic or Baptist. I doubt that was your intention, but that is the logic of your statement.

Not what I said at all. Perhaps I should have said that you cannot be pro-choice and follow Christ.

Since you were Catholic can you explain self-excommunication? The RCIA process fails when prospective Catholics, Inquirers, are taught that they can wonder off the reservation at will. Other Catholics who are poorly catachized and are in the Church today are ignorant entirely of the Faith.
If your argument is going to be that you follow your conscience on human sacrifice, as abortion is, then the Church will properly tell you that you lack an informed conscience and you need to go inform it. Soon. You know better than to lend your self to arrogant bustardness on the barbary of human sacrifice. Some matters leave us without excuse. This is one of those.

John 6 was hard for followers of Jesus and many protested and left. The first protestants.

Oops, the dunce jumped out again. My apologies to all. Embarrassing to miss the point entirely and fire off a round that hits my sidekick.
