Except the Christian is the bad guy. In other words, pretty much the same as all the other crap coming out of Hollywood.

These people are such clowns. Just like when the agenda monkeys pretended that Brokeback Mountain was the “first film to break the gay barrier” these idiots are going to pretend this film is the first where a Christian is the bad guy.

Christians portrayed as bad guys in a movie?
Been there, done that.

And atheists are saying this film could be their Brokeback Mountain, which broke down barriers for gays six years ago. That makes sense. Atheism is based upon a fictional view of the world, so why shouldn't it take fiction to popularise it?

I predict a movie flop. It will start in maybe 800 theaters nationwide and will be replaced by better movies within two weeks.
Personally, I can’t wait to see Courageous this fall. If it is as good as Fireproof, it will be great.

Well, at least they have a movie to rally behind.
Must suck going through life believing in nothing.

You mean, like Atlas Shrugged?
(Which I do actually want to see, but it came (nowhere remotely near), and went.)

Exactly, what is new here? Another attack on the norms of society, the institutions of society, and the best parts of society.
Pass.

I laughed at the quote saying that usually the atheist or non-Christian ends up being the villain. I doubt she could name one example of such a film made in recent years.
To: TheDingoAteMyBaby
As if THIS is the first movie where the Christian is a bad guy? What else has Hollywood been producing for the last how many years???
To: TheDingoAteMyBaby
There is no such thing as a non-believers. Even the atheist believes something.

In the playback of people's lives before the ultimate Judge it will be they who lose and proved to be the bad guys. It's that “footage” that counts and not all of their demented fantasy “footage”. Only Christ can make one good by the washing away of all sin by the blood that He shed for the forgiveness of our sins.

Most atheists are people that have not yet found their way to God. Growing up, growing older, having children and losing parents has a real unique way of opening a person's eyes. I just thank heaven my parents have always had rock solid faith and shared that with me. I can not imagine slogging through life believing in nothing. How cold and cynical and pointless the world must look.

There is no discrimination against atheists. If anything, they have a bigger voice than anyone else in government, legal system, and education.

To all
What I have never understood about atheists is the following. For the sake of argument lets grant their basic premise to be true. No God and religious practice is wasted effort. Just people being foolish, OK so why can't atheists just let people be foolish. If it has no meaning then they shouldn't care how others waste their life on it.
I utterly don't understand their militancy. Unless they are so unsure of their atheism they need to constant validation of converting others to their view point.

My thought exactly.
Usually the atheist, or the person that's not the Christian, usually ends up being the villain, she says.
This is delusional.
