My Granddaughter recieved her First Communion a couple of weeks ago and is starting to ask Summa Theologicia Questions..

I need a Catholic Camp in the NE to send her to that would be religious and fun, but it must be old line Catholic.

TOPICS: Catholic; Moral Issues; Religion & Culture
KEYWORDS: church; education
Disclaimer: I am Protestant but I cannot dictate my Granddaughters religious education,

If she were your grand*son*, I’d recommend the Don Bosco Camp,

Mark Gillis is *awesome* and very devout. (He is dean at the school where I teach science/math).

It works, I think that the Don Bosco Camp in NY might be the place. She has relatives near bye, provided.

It is in Maryland, but Camp Aviat is a fantastic choice. It’s at Mount Aviat Academy (my alma mater) which is co-ed, but the camp is girls only. I was a camper for one year and a counselor for several years. The nuns are old-school and still a lot of fun.
