Full title: Priest stole $1m from church for male escorts.... and designer clothes… but won't have to pay it back and could serve again
A Catholic priest who stole more than $1 million in church money and spent it on male escorts, Armani clothes and nights out at gay bars has been jailed for three years.
But the priest from Connecticut could be allowed to continue serving as a priest after he has served his sentence, according to his former church.
Father Kevin Gray, 65, the former pastor of the Sacred Heart Parish, Waterbury, was sentenced to prison on Wednesday. He had entered a plea of no contest.
He had used the money to pay for a lavish lifestyle, which included owning a secret flat in New York, which he shared with a man who he paid to go to Harvard University.
Prosecutors said Gray will not have to pay back the money because the Diocese of Hartford did not ask for restitution.

Just because Catholics don’t post every single episode of Protestant abuse, theft, prostitute allegations etc., doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Both sides, including Jewish conservatives and normal atheists/agnostics, know the left have a divisive agenda and part of it is to keep us fighting among each other. So, why do you and your groupie friends insist on stirring the pot?

Please feel free to question any of the Protestant child abuse cases posted therein (I’ve checked them all and then some)...perhaps you can even come up with solutions because it continues to happen...that’s if you really do care about abuse. The CC has a terrific program in place for a decade which is used by many other institutions. You might suggest it to whomever you affiliate with...if it’s the Marxists on dailykos etc they certainly need it as their unionized teachers/DoE numbers are through the roof.

I think it's not a matter of log vs. speck but rather the Roman Catholic Church is the only church that claims to be the one, only, true church Christ established on earth. Therefore, the many, many vile incidents that are reported against the Catholic Church - where most are valid and provable and where there has been so much cover up by those in the upper echelons and transferring of predators continues - should be reported.
I have never heard of the Southern Baptist church making claims that no one can be saved unless they join the SBC, have you? Neither have the Presbyterians or the Methodists or the Episcopalians, etc. What can you expect when you place a human institution, run by fallible humans, as the only way to Heaven?
Rather, Jesus set up a body of believers - a spiritual and universal body - built around the truth of the gospel that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of mankind and we are saved by the grace of God through faith in the sacrifice Jesus made for us. All those who come to Christ by faith are born again into the family of God and become a member of this spiritual body. It encompasses ALL true believers and no one denomination can claim exclusivity of the body. Sorry, you cannot. That is why we can know that the "gates of Hell" cannot - and will not - prevail against this body of Christ.
Yeah becasue that never happens in Protestant churches (See post #7) or even in public schools or in the homes of Homeschoolsers.

I don’t get the sentence of only 3 years.
And Catholics whine about the insurance companies pay outs to the victims of Catholic priests abuse as if it’s costing the Catholic church all that money instead of the insurance companies.
It’s a wonder they can even get insurance any more, they’re so high risk.
