If you've been thinking about leaving the Mormon church, Tracy was steeped in the church -- and active in it for 26 years! She was able to do that with the Lord's help...you can, too!
According to EquippingChristians.com: "She held many positions over the years, including "Young Married's" Activities Leader, Primary Teacher, Nursery Assistant, Assistant Ward Librarian, Cub Scout Den Leader, Ward Music Chairman, Visiting Teaching Supervisor, Relief Society Teacher, and Relief Society President, among others. Tracy was a frequent vocalist or speak at special youth and adult firesides. She was serving as Relief Society President when she left the LDS Church in November of 2000. She now writes and does public speaking, sharing her experience and knowledge of Mormonism in Christian churches throughout the country."

It was interesting, especially the part on the use of symbols and their satanic origins. And the creepiness of Joeseph Smith's willingness to corrupt writings and lay down falsehoods. And the willingness of the church to poll certain members before so called 'visions' are related at large. Just ew.
She is a tremendous soul. I am SO GLAD her long and hard search for truth resulted in great peace and joy.
It is just so great that she has a relationship with Jesus and our loving Father. WOW! When the scales drop, a whole new world leaps out!
Also paraphrased as:
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall really pi** you off."
Thats the part 'they' rarely tell you about.
You will get some hate for this but thanks for posting it. Great read and a great woman.
Now, THAT is a testimony !!!
A very powerful testimony and thank you for posting it. I thank God every day for the gift of grace through his son Jesus Christ.
“*** NOTE: I do not equate Judaism with a cult. I also do not suggest that a Jew must leave Judaism to become a Christian! To the contrary, Jews who come to believe that Jesus is Messiah are called “Messianic Jews.” They do not give up their Jewishness.
Tragically, over the centuries, the Catholic Church and some Chistian groups insisted that Jews professing faith in Jesus as Messiah completely renounce their Jewish heritage.
Many Jews were forced to not only profess Christian faith, but give up all their traditions and even their very identity as Jews, much to the shame of Christians. Those who say God’s promises to Israel are no longer effacacious because the Church has replaced Israel are in essence calling God a liar. God’s promises to Israel will all be fulfilled, praise His holy name!”
Which church did she end up in? A Catholic bashing one? Because I have never heard of the Catholic church asking Jews to give up their identity. Since we recognize that Jesus and all the apostles were Jews.
Good MORMON info!
Great testimony of how God worked to open the eyes of a Mormon to the real Jesus Christ! And if you are a Mormon reading this, God can do the same for you!
Beautiful and wonderfully written.
I’m not part of the Free Republic Forum, but have seen links to my testimony here when doing a Google search on my name. I signed up just to see what was being said about me :-)
For anyone interested in reading more about my journey out of Mormonism, my story is now a published book; “Mormonism, the Matrix, and Me.”
Synopsis: “Tracy Tennant’s compelling and inspirational account of raising and homeschooling ten children as a devout Mormon mother. Her story provides insight into Mormon lifestyle, practices, and beliefs. Her life as a Latter-day Saint was rich with humor and drama, as well as the mundane aspects of trying to live worthily as a temple-attending woman preparing her family for life in the future Celestial Kingdom. After discovering solid historical evidence against Joseph Smith and the teachings of the Mormon Church, Tracy faced heartbreaking rejection from many of her former Mormon friends and loved ones. While her account details her journey out of Mormonism into Biblical-based faith, she acknowledges and credits the Mormon people who made a positive impact on her life. Mormonism, The Matrix & Me is a book that is an intense walk through Tracy’s life as she enters and exits a world known as Mormonism, while eloquently comparing her story to the blockbuster movie, ‘The Matrix.’ Her story will cause many to open their eyes to the world around them.”
