It’s not just traditional liberals who are pushing the homosexual agenda. Ron Paul, the darling of libertarians, voted to repeal “don’t ask, don’t tell.” Then there is the co-opting of the American Conservative Union and its annual conference the Conservative Political Advocate Committee (CPAC) by the pro-homosexual group GOProud. Supposed conservative journalist Andrew Breitbart castigated those who wanted to exclude GOProud and even held a “gay”-themed party at CPAC to celebrate the “pride” of homosexuality and later joined GOProud’s advisory board. (I’m not quite sure what homosexuals are proud of. It seems to me that having “pride” in getting one’s anatomy wrong is misplaced.) Here’s how one blogger reported on the event:

The party staged by Andrew Breitbart for GOProud — the gay Republican and conservative group — was as close to a game changer as things get and the most interesting event at CPAC by far, at least to this point — and that’s meant as no insult to CPAC. With sexy Sophie B. Hawkins singing to a boisterous, supportive crowd, the party almost obliterated in one night the conception that Republicans are anti-gay and gave the impression that young libertarians — and some not so young — are taking over the GOP. Pretty soon it may be cool to be a Republican and square to be a Democrat.

This is mystifying to me - WHY - is the only debate that ever occurs on our wars is whether we will allow gays to serve openly? How the heck is this the central issue of debate? Is this a civil rights issue --- or are we trying to increase recruitment efforts? Someone explain to me

If it's for recruitment -, I have a suggestion, let's let all male and female service members shower together in one big shower facility. And let the good times roll.

Short of that, let;s bring our boys and girls back home and start building bases and bridges here in the continental U.S.

The idiots at CPAC are courting a small percent of homosexual voters while alienating 90% of their base. Yep. Real smart decision there. I predict that Brietbart and CPAC are going to go down in flames.

I'll see your prediction and raise it. I predict that if we don't put a stop the the “gay rights” nonsense and relearn how to take sex seriously, Western Civilization is going down in flames. No culture which teaches it's children that sex is about self-gratification and self-fulfillment can (to borrow a phrase) long endure.

The human sex drive is a powerful thing. Properly directed by a strict moral code with deep roots and wide support, it can hold society together. Without proper direction, it can blow society apart. The left has been trying to blow society apart by dismantling conventional morality as long as there has been a left. Why are so many people who consider themselves conservative willing to participate in this project? Lenin's phrase “useful idiots” leaps to mind.

Libertarians - wolves in sheeps clothing. I saw an earlier post saying that libertarians are worse than liberals. I agree. Libertarians are just Democrats who don’t want to pay taxes.

The 'homosexual agenda' has already destroyed several major church denominations. that's what it does. It is like leaven that infects the whole dough. They are infiltrating CPAC for the same purpose. The 'homosexual agenda' will never rest until everyone in the world accepts celebrates their deviant lifestyle. If the 'homosexual agenda' issue is 'over'; then all issues are 'over'. Maybe some are not as willing to accept defeat as you are.
