Brock Police Report: Removal of "Temple Garments," a Meeting With LDS Officials

The Chandler Police Department released the full report on the Susan Brock sex scandal this morning, and it's a doozy. Turns out that she, her county supervisor husband, Fulton Brock, and the parents of the victim of her bizarre sexual trysts met with leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in October 2009 to discuss "frustration with Mrs. Brock's interference in [their] son's life."

During the 2009 meeting with LDS Stake President Mitch Jones, the father of Brock's victim asked her point-blank if she was having a sexual relationship with his son. Brock denied it -- with her county supervisor husband sitting in the room with her.

What I don’t understand is why the parents went to a Church official first. Why didn’t they call the cops immediately?

Lot of cover-up went on with this story...Fulton Brock was a county supervisor, elected official..he knew about this in 2009. The high-school principal told her to stay away from the victim at school...why was this not reported by either the elected official or the school official?

Why didn't the victim's father go directly to the police instead of meeting with the LDS official with his suspicions?

What I don’t understand is why the parents went to a Church official first. Why didn’t they call the cops immediately?What I don't understand is why the Lds bishop wasn't more "pushy" toward the parents -- to not wait a year before calling the authorities? And, if need be, once the sexual abuse became obvious, to call in the authorities himself to prevent further crimes.
And some point, he needed to move beyond the reputation of the church & beyond even the perps themselves and concentrate simply on being a neighbor to that abuse victim!
