One Mediator Between God and Men: CHRIST JESUS
2010 | God's Word

Posted on 12/03/2010 4:14:50 PM PST by bibletruth

1 Timothy 2:5 ...one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

There is NO debate here: God's Word clearly points out who the mediator is between God and men: i.e., Christ Jesus

If you believe in God's Word, who is Christ Jesus: The Word of God, then 1 Timothy 2:5 will be easily be understood as Christ the mediator.

Sorry, but you're the one who insists on a merely human understanding -- that's the appeal of the Nestorian heresy: it's easier to understand than the Incarnation. All the Christological heresies are easier -- that's why they keep arising.

“Mary was a creation of God, thus does not possess the quality of motherhood toward any part of the Godhead.”

So says internet Pope editor-surveyor the First!

Pardon me while I simply scoff.

The only time devoted to Mary is time in prayer to her. I don’t pray to my neighbor. I can’t mow Mary’s lawn, or buy her groceries, or shovel her driveway, or visit her in prison or the hospital.

The only way to relate to her is through prayer.

Praying to Mary is robbing prayer time from God, whom we were instructed to pray to by Jesus Himself.

WHY pray to Mary? Did you ever think that one through?

What’s she capable of doing for you that God Himself can’t?

What would she do for you that God Himself wouldn’t?

If God wouldn’t do it, do you honestly think that Mary would?

Do you think it’s easier to get requests answered from her than God?

She’s not omnipotent. She has no power to answer prayer even if she could hear them, and there’s nothing in Scripture to indicate that she can.

The catholic ‘church’ has zero years of Christian anything, but centuries of satanic twaddle.

“You failed to offer scripture in support of your foolish argument, but the idiotic delusion of men.”

That is funny. I cite scripture and you close your eyes and baldfaced claim that I did not. How self delusional can you get?

Bigotry and hatred on full display, again. Very sad.

Utterly false!

Not MIA, but ministering to the Lord’s remnant that had gone underground due to the satanic opression of the “catholic church.”

So you don’t believe Christ is God either?

That’s the simple truth. Mary’s destiny was great but not good enough for the RCC.

THE WORD became flesh. IT already was. It's Supernatural. Did not the man Jesus grow in stature?

You're still talking about a Jesus in two separable parts; this is not the Christian belief. "The Word became flesh" -- not the Word sort of hovered around the flesh.

Pity them and pray for them. It’s a little too blasphemous on this thread for me. Arians and Nestorians(!) I don’t have your fortitude.

Have a great Advent in preparation for Christmas.

Gute Nacht und glückliches Weihnachten!

Sorry, but you're the one who insists on a merely human understanding -

Sorry you are the one who has nullified God's Word and have no authority.

Mark 7:6 He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

You really don’t know what you’re talking about. And “loving one’s neighbor” isn’t covered by simply doing things — you can do things for someone without loving, and you can love without doing things. Anyway, IIRC, you don’t believe in “works.”

A question can’t be a strawman. Seriously, who do you think Christ is? How would you describe His nature? You don’t sound as if you believe He is God.

Me: Yes, I really do not know what you think the Gospel is. That is why I asked.

You: If you try to read my mind, you will fail and you violate the rules of the road here.

That does not make any sense.

I am asking you what you think, and trying to make sense of your puzzlingly evasive responses. Isn’t “How can a man be saved?” a pretty important, basic question? Isn’t it odd if someone says he is a Christian of some sort, but won’t give a straight answer to that question?

I asked you, and you said go to the Mass, and ask rnmomof7 what “vicar” means.

So I’m just forced to ask again:

Are you saying that the Gospel is “Attend Mass, and you will be saved”?

Or are you now saying that only a priest can tell me how to be saved?

And are you also saying that if one cannot correctly define “vicar,” he cannot be saved?

Without putting a bit of a prophetic hat on,

I can tell you how

IN PRACTICE

their veneration of Mary differs from their

WORSHIP

of God.

Without the slightest fear of being wrong

--regarding the vast majority of RCC's on FR--

MARY

gets

FAR

MORE

--air time,
--prayer time,
--plastic idols,
--bead time,
--mental imagry,
--genuflecting,
--bowing,
--white hanky fluttering,
--fantasies,
--requests,
--thanks,
--fawning,
--dreamy thoughts of a soft lap,
--wailing thoughts of a crying shoulder,
--thumb sucking-self-pitying complaints,

and

when at the Vatican in Rome,

FAR MORE

more statue toe kissing,
crawling on knees,
& kowtowing.

It's elementary my dear Watson.

The PROOF is on FR in the
--attitudes,
--pontifications,
--examples,
--exalted behaviors,
--word choices,
--tones,
--dogma,
--rituals,
--exaltations,
--emphases,
. . .
. . .

proffered hereon 24/7/365

by the vast majority of active RC posters on FR.

Proddys and lurkers would be blind idiots to believe anything else of such continually advertised idolatries, blasphemies and heresies done in such quadruplicate style so persistently.

>> Well we see here at FR catholics do not know it

You’re slapping down many Catholics denouncing them as heretics as you are not satisfied of the Faith they hold in Christ.

Definitively, there can be no perfect interpretation of what is transcribed in the New Testament. Only a fool would suggest otherwise.
