The only time devoted to Mary is time in prayer to her. I don’t pray to my neighbor. I can’t mow Mary’s lawn, or buy her groceries, or shovel her driveway, or visit her in prison or the hospital.
The only way to relate to her is through prayer.
Praying to Mary is robbing prayer time from God, whom we were instructed to pray to by Jesus Himself.
WHY pray to Mary? Did you ever think that one through?
What’s she capable of doing for you that God Himself can’t?
What would she do for you that God Himself wouldn’t?
If God wouldn’t do it, do you honestly think that Mary would?
Do you think it’s easier to get requests answered from her than God?
She’s not omnipotent. She has no power to answer prayer even if she could hear them, and there’s nothing in Scripture to indicate that she can.
You really don’t know what you’re talking about. And “loving one’s neighbor” isn’t covered by simply doing things — you can do things for someone without loving, and you can love without doing things. Anyway, IIRC, you don’t believe in “works.”
