1 Timothy 2:5 ...one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
There is NO debate here: God's Word clearly points out who the mediator is between God and men: i.e., Christ Jesus
If you believe in God's Word, who is Christ Jesus: The Word of God, then 1 Timothy 2:5 will be easily be understood as Christ the mediator.
Thanks for adding to my Heavenly reward by your unwarranted, rule violating abuse. Very touching example of RC wisdom, understanding and charity.
. . . along with the usual Vatican Alice in Wonderland School of Theology and Reality Mangling indiotic perspective on reality.
Very touching, indeed.
Very touching.
That should make it a bit hazardous for you, however,
when those chickens come home to roost . . . your falling jaw may be at risk of breaking your toes.
You sound dreadfully uninformed beyond ignorance on the topic.
You likely even think that Fatima was not a series of moderately embelished UFO events.
Don’t confuse them with facts :)
Am I safe in understanding that the catechism then teaches that Hebrews is correct in stating that we as believers can then enter boldly into the presence of God thanks to the work of Jesus on the cross? As such we can bring our petitions to God directly?
Mary’s aid is *something*.
Not a material thing, but it is praying for her to do something to or for the person.
Mary has no power given to her to answer prayers. There’s nothing in Scripture that tells us that.
I’m not surprised you reject sola scriptura. I’ve yet to meet a Catholic who doesn’t.
The only way that Catholics can get around the clear teaching of the Bible in so many areas is to give tradition the authority to usurp it. *Tradition* is the only justification for so many Catholic doctrines and teachings.
One would not be saying that catholics never ask Mary for "things" right?
FWIW, I reject sola scriptura.
Well no one asked, but it is obvious or you would not pray to someone who is dead instead of looking to the living Lord for perseverance and sanctification
Hbr 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
No. your argument is with the word of God when one says there is any other priesthood than the priesthood of the believer in the NT church
Ridicule, the last defense from Catholics. WEAK!!!
Thanks for the additioinal Rabid Clique Papist Bigot type distribution of sweetness.
What a credit to your personna.
Just show us where she is wrong from the magisteriums infallible interpretation of the scriptures..
You have no authority to interpret scripture BTW
As a matter of fact, I don't. Do you?
unbelievable how uninformed you are about the nature of prayer. It is astounding. So I guess according to you its not allowable for me to ask anyone to pray for me.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
So tell us where do you get YOUR information on prayer??
***Quix, I stopped taking you seriously a long time ago, mainly because of your posts regarding UFOs.****
I came across a story regarding Monsignor Corrado Balducci. He is a Roman Catholic theologian of the Vatican Curia, a close friend of the pope, long time exorcist for the Archdiocese of Rome, and he is a Prelate of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and the Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
Monsignor Corrado Balducci has said that extraterrestrial contact is real.

Monsignor Corrado Balducci has provided analysis that relates directly with the teachings of the Catholic Church. He has stressed that the extraterrestrial encounters “are NOT demonic, they are NOT due to psychological impairment, they are NOT a case of entity attachment, but these encounters deserve to be studied carefully.” He also said that the Vatican is closely following reported incidents of extraterrestrial encounters from its Nunciatures (embassies) in different countries.
I’m not a UFO fanatic, but I’m curious what do you think? I just found it odd that someone from the Vatican would make such a disclosure.
