God created angels. One angel coveted the worship and power of God, Himself, so he rebelled and called himself Lucifer. We usually refer to him as Satan today. He was deviously clever and used his stolen power to make demons which he uses as his henchmen. He is the father of lies! Lucifer is the opposite, not the brother of God’s only begotten son, Jesus Christ! Satan devotes himself to the destruction of anything resembling God and His principles! Satan teaches that men will become God for all eternity, if his evil temptations are adopted! Today Satan is working feverishly to destroy good, for he knows time is growing short!

I received a call from a bishop who was referring a young man to my singles ward. I was shocked by this bishop's intention to have the young man brought up before the high council for a disciplinary hearing due to the fact that he masturbated. Out of dismay I had to ask him to repeat to me that the young man's "offense" was masturbation! I informed the bishop that I would handle the situation. Months of de-shaming this young man ensued.
