Someday I will tell you the whole story. Long story short, we eventually realized God was trying to tell us something and started dating. We celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary this New Years, so yeah we are meant to be together.

So if I understand things correctly, the reason Mormons are not Christians is because they do not believe in an extra-biblical doctrinal statement.

Galatians 1:6-9 is pretty clear for Christians.

Now, ‘zilla, don’t read into reaganaut’s statement. All she was saying was that I knew that she was a girl. Remember, as my little old white-haired English teacher taught us, “Nouns have gender; people have sex.”

That includes Boy Scouts, who are, by definition, of the male sex. (As I read this, I realize that proper English does sound dirty nowadays. Sorry - TMI?)

re-read the article...it states very clearly several graphs of the "we're Christians, too" stuff...

Sorry, the family started the press coverage. And then the Lds bishop elected to comment on it.

Honey, you forgot one adjective on this....Remember, as my little old white-haired MORMON English teacher taught us, “Nouns have gender; people have sex.”

What in my statement warrants my “re-reading” the article?

To be a Scout, you dont have to declare a religion, just not be an atheist.

What the family did is irrelevant to that point.

This whole “We are Christians” argument boggles the mind. From day ONE Mormons have preached against Christianity, yet in this day they are ashamed of their founders.

I say if you are Mormon then you are Mormon for a reason and you should stand up and proclaim your truthfulness, do not bring yourselves down to the level of Christianity. But they do not. Mormons seek material things and think that claiming to be the true “Christian” church they will gain more power. They are in love with the things of this world and Christ has very little to do with the Mormon religion.

News Flash. Christianity requires sacrifice and often times the loss of wealth or your life.

** Mormonism is not consistent with historical Christianity.”**

My son, a Catholic, was harrassed when their Scouting group which started in a public school had to move to a Mormon Church.

It was a terrible time in my life! He dropped out, BTW.

For the rest of us, yep no one ‘worthy’, not even those with “Temple Recommends”.

I hear that most MORMONs are not even 'worthy' enough to get into their OWN temples!
