Prohibition on Homosexuality Was Not Repealed By Christ

Today there are many false Christian teachers who are are leading many poor souls straight to hell by claiming that Jesus never spoke against the union of two men or two women, so homosexuality is now condoned by God.  Let me say right from the start, except for the ceremonials ones (which Jesus repealed), all of the Mosaic laws are still in force. That is because there were three categories of laws given to Israel: civil, ceremonial, and moral. The civil laws were ONLY given to the Israel. The ceremonial laws were filled and abolished in Christ. The moral laws, such as the Ten Commandments and other Mosaic moral laws are universal. They are part of Natural and Divine Law. Homosexuality is clearly contrary to moral and natural laws. All forms of homosexuality are condemned, past, present, and future.

What Jesus did was fulfill the laws handed down by God. Matthew 5:17 If you look at the teachings of Jesus, you will see that he reiterated all the OT laws. What He did do away with however, was the ceremonials laws that were needed to gain forgiveness and be pure before God, but now we look to Christ for our salvation instead of through the works that God required the Israelites to do. So I can say without hesitation that Jesus also did not repeal the prohibition against homosexuality.

There will be many who will now automatically accuse me of claiming that those who commit adultery and other such immoral crimes should be stoned as the law of Moses commanded. However, what they fail to understand is that even under the Mosaic law, the death penalty was not the only requirement for the penalty of breaking the laws of murder, adultery, and other such crimes.

In 2 Samuel chapters 11 and 12, we learn about King David's sin of adultery with Bathsheba, and we also learn about him having Bathsheba's husband Uriah killed because he refused to sleep with his wife. However, what they fail to understand is that, under Mosaic law, the penalty for murder, adultery, and other such crimes was not merely death, but death by stoning.  So, both David and Bathsheba should have been stoned to death, but they were not. We can say that because David was.........

With all the talk of same sex marriages and different denominations allowing practicing homosexuals and lesbians to be ordained ministers, this message is spot on.

Well, we have allowed the prosperity gospel folks to peddle covetousness as a virtue unchallenged for so long - how could Christendom expect any standard to be upheld? That one made the stone tablet.

Jesus taught that all sin would be forgiven, and said let him without sin cast the first stone.

I don’t agree with gay marriage, but I also don’t believe it will condem someone to Hell.

I don’t agree with gay marriage, but I also don’t believe it will condemn someone to Hell.

It really does not matter what you believe. All that counts is what God says. So while He does forgive those who ask for forgiveness, He also says go and sin no more. If, on the day of your demise you have not asked Christ into your heart and have not repented, you WILL go to hell.

It is the willful practicing of sin that will condemn you, regardless of what the sin is. However, to lead others to believe that homosexuality is not a sin that is punishable by eternal damnation, is also a sin in of itself.

I don't know about drugs or smoking, but JESUS did do a GREAT JOB in making sure the WINE PARTY at the wedding lasted for SEVERAL DAYS!!

Jesus must have been a heck of a drinking buddy.

In the 80’s one of the best men to ever cross my life and several of us kids, was a gay man.

I never had a problem with ‘gay’ until recently.

I cannot STAND having it shoved down everyone’s throat.

I didn’t have the race issues in the past that I now have.

What changed— that changed me?

One would think I would be MORE excepting now, than in the past...not so.

Twenty-seven stitches to the back of my head has made me paranoid of illegal Mexicans.

The rest... it is them that has changed, I didn’t have the feelings of resentment before...not when I was allowed to accept of my own freedom.

Now..it may as well be cod-liver oil of past.

The book of Acts reports that Peter saw a vision of a sheet covered with various unclean animals. He was told to kill and eat. When he said he has never eaten anything unclean, the voice told him "Do not call anything unclean that the Lord has made clean."

I'll read Acts again, but I'm pretty sure that no Apostle ever saw an vision of a naked man's butt.

Have you read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10:
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

So the ban on garments of two different threads is civil or ceremonial?

Matthew 19 is pretty clear. Jesus did confirm that the ideal of marriage was adam and eve, man and woman. So when they say that Jesus said nothing, they are lying.

Paul also mentions it in Romans (don’t know exact passage) and God said it too ... so that settles it as far as I can tell.

1 Peter 5:8

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”

He spoke against drunkenness, which is not the same as drinking. Since drugs have the same “drunken” effect, I’d say He wouldn’t be for that either.
