Realistically I am totally not impressed by your low rank. I agree your military service has nothing to do with your total hatred of all religions because no one is innocent, protestant or catholic when it comes to these matters.

Keep up the personal attacks good "Christian."

Your recap of the article is laughable.

It was a recap of the facts, not the article, facts that can easily be verified.

So says the Vatican. No one else says "civil authorities knew about the allegations."

Even the attack article of the New York Times, "Vatican Declined to Defrock U.S. Priest Who Abused Boys", does not question the report that the civil authorities were notified and declined to prosecute. But of course we know how pro-Catholic the NYT is.

It is supposed to be a sacred trust to be a leader in the church and God expects an even higher level of good example by these people.

Amen.

"And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" -- 2 Timothy 2:2.

Where’s the evidence that civil authorities were notified?

There you go again, trying to think.

Do you have anything of value to offer to this discussion or are you not intellectually capable of arguing your position thus you resort to personal attacks?

Even their Pope disagrees with them...

Responding to a question about sex abuse on his way to the United States in 2008, Pope Benedict appeared to make the point not to link it with homosexuality.

“I will not speak at this moment about homosexuality,” he said. “This is another thing.”

Benedict went on to say that pedophiles had to be excluded from sacred ministry: “It is absolutely incompatible, and whoever is really guilty of being a pedophile cannot be a priest.”

You won’t know if you’re saved or not until your particular judgement, just as Scripture teaches.

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

Based on 40+ years of anecdotal evidence, I have come to the conclusion that most protestants have had the Bible read to them. They haven’t actually sat down and read it themselves cover to cover even in the abridged, heavily edited form that they possess.

VATICAN NO. 2

I'd lobby for a loftier title. "Vice Pope" maybe, "Assistant Pope". Maybe even "1st Alternate Pope". But "Vatican No.2" sounds like a bodily function.

You won’t know if you’re saved or not until your particular judgement, just as Scripture teaches.

That is not what Scripture tells the believer. Scripture says if a man believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that man is forgiven his sins and will be with Christ in paradise at the moment of his death.

By God's grace Christians have this eternal assurance which Rome deprives it members of in order to keep them beholden to it and not to God alone for salvation.

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." -- 1 John 3:1-3

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." -- 1 John 5:13

"Be not afraid; only believe." -- Mark 5:36

james was the brother of jc

Depending on which James you are confused about, he was the biological brother of John or Jo'ses and Jude, not jc(sic), just as Scripture teaches.

Correct. I'm anti-ignorant, particularly when it comes to Scripture.

Nice display of walking the walk, "good" Christian.

You won’t know if you’re saved or not until your particular judgement, just as Scripture teaches.

Like this scripture, you mean:

I John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Or this one:

Ephesians 2:8,9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Or this one:

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

I've got PLENTY more, if you are interested.

Revelation 17

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Could you also address personal attacks to TSGT and him mailing me about...NAMBLA calling, it’s for your children...
Supposively people who claim to care about children, don’t here...they have an agenda and it is very clear to us Catholics here. It is not about issues, it is about hatred of the Catholic Church.
